All Season Tire Options
I narrowed my selection to Continental Extreme Contact DWS 06 Plus and Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 tires. I will run 265/35-20 and 305/30-20 on the factory wheels.
My main criteria are noise and ride quality. Don’t do much spirited driving other than brisk acceleration on freeway on-ramps. (I bought the AMG version more for its look rather than the performance).
Asking for any real world experience with these two options. Any comments are welcome.

The Contis are nice riding quiet tire.
I am on this forum as I am waiting for delivery of my 2026 AMG CLE 53 currently in port waiting for a boat ride. I quit Audi when they abandoned the 5 series coupe. My ‘21 RS5 is my third RS5. Great car, but I want a performance coupe, not a 4 door hatchback.

Car ride is much nicer in terms of comfort, sound, and bumps. I drove in the rain and car was great. Haven’t driven in snow yet
my rears are 295 though, which was the size of the former tires. Why would you do 305?
jsloan01 - the rear wheel width is 11-inches and that is what the 305 was designed to fit. The 295 is slightly undersized and you can see by how the sidewall fits. The front 265 is optimum for the 9.5-inch width front wheel. Compare that sidewall fit to the rear 295 and it becomes obvious the 295 is undersized.

I do have a different rim from you - I got the 20” forged cross spoke (the ones the GT also has). Does that make a difference? If not, is it a problem I got 295?
the dealer said I should match the stock size, so hopefully not an issue
I don’t know why MB installed the 295 v 305. See attached screenshots of Tire Rack specifications of the two set ups: 265 with 295 and 265 with 305. The measured rim widths for the rear indicate the 305 tire sits better on an 11-inch wheel.
I am just evaluating the all season options at this time and will determine final sizing when ready. I too don’t like deviating from factory dimensions.

Surprised there is this discrepancy. The 295 appears to be “too small”, but I don’t have a sense whether it’s a serious issue. My car drives great on these 295s, so I don’t have a performance issue at low or high speeds

Only light snow and ice so far, but no complaints.
Still nowhere near as good as the Micelin Pilot Sport 4 or 5 on dry pavement.
I will likely replace my summer Pilot Sports with Pilot AS 4 or Continental DWS 6 after this summer’s driving. Then I won’t have temperature limits. But I will not take it out during snow season. I am on a mountainside and the plow leaves a lot of salt/sand traction crap all over my area. I’ll use my SUV for the winter months.

. You'll like the CLE 53. I still have my C63S Coupe, but I drove the CLE 53 in Germany and I quite liked it. More engaging than the B9 RS5 and the inline 6 is smooth performance compared to the V6 in the RS5. Still miss the high-revving V8 from the B8.5 once in a while, though. In Germany there are wheel and tire options for winter that can be ordered from the factory, but MBUSA doesn't wanna offer them, so you are on your own. All-season tires isn't really a thing in Europe, although it's starting to catch on with tires such as the Michelin CrossClimate series that have proper 3PMSF rating. Spent a month in Germany and Switzerland last October into November and the rental VW Golf had the CrossClimate on it. Perfect tire for the transition. It was nice sunny fall weather for the first two weeks, but then it started to get cold with rain and even snow on one day. Unfortunately, the CrossClimate 2 is a touring tire, but the CrossClimate 3 Sport is now available in Europe. Not available in North America yet, so it's interesting that they are targeting the European market first with the CrossClimate 3.
