Rattling sound coming from underneath.......
Rattling sound coming from underneath my '01 CLK 320. Has anyone faced this problem before? And if I drive to my dealer, will it be covered under warranty?

Out Of Control!!
When I first bought my car, I had a rattling sound that appeared to be coming from under the console. After replacing the exhaust manifold (1 possiblity), the dealer found rocks underneath my heat shields. They took them out, and for the past year, I've been rattle free.

CLK 320
I had some sort of bracket on the exhaust come loose and make a terrible metal clang sound only under certain acceleration. Initial comments were that it could be a loose heat shield but they found that one of the clamps had come loose. Tightened and everything is fine.

regarding rattle
Although I have a SLK320, I developed a "rattle" underneath the car a few weeks back and brought it into the dealer. Turned out to be the catalytic converter. They replaced it no charge and everything is as good as new. Hate driving a Benz that sounds like a rattle trap!
