CLK430 owners

hey newbie here..recently my clk has been acting up..its a 2001 CLK430..
1.when i start the engine in the morning it makes a ticking sound for about 10-15sec and dissapears..dealer said it was a rocker arm not holding pressure w/c also damaged the camshafts..everything was replaced under warranty(rocker arms and camshafts)--problem still remains
2.on idle the car will shake once in awhile--1st repair was new engine mounts..that didnt help..2nd repair was new spark plug wires..problem is still there
3.while i was accelerating from a stop sign the engine was hesitating..it's almost like it wanted to stall so i floored the gas and it went away--new issue
4.when im cruising around 40mph and im about to brake the entire car starts to shake..i cannot determine if it was the engine trying to stall..alignment and balancing was already performed on this car a week ago..
5.when the engine speed is between 1500rpm to 1800rpm, i can here a buzzing/humming sound when the a/c is on---dealer said that it was a leaky valve in the system..valve rings and etc. were replaced--problem still there..

(everything mentioned above was performed under warranty)

i was just wondering if some of you guys experienced some of these issues already..American Service Center is a good dealer for me..(thats where i bought the car from) but with the recent issues that i've been having, i think i might have to trade it in for a CLK500(maybe) or something else..

i love the car but these issues are driving me nuts its already been to the service shop 3 times now and im good friends with the service manager already..lol

any ideas ladies and gentlemen? thanks..oh ya car has 49,200mi

my car used to shake on idle...lots of people have reported it. my engine mounts were changed, problem went away for a week and then came back. the guy changed the mounts again saying "the wrong ones were put in last time." some other people suggest to check the transmission mount for that. im not sure about yours tho...since it only does it once in a while. mine was more constant

Your car shaking could be the harmonic balancer. There is a recall for it right now. I would have them inspect it and see if your balancer is part of the recall.

How many miles are on your car? MAF sensor's have been the culprit for a lot of perforamance realted issues. They typically go out after 50K miles.

Welcome Rocko!

The only one I can chime in on would be problem #1, sounds like the ERG valve and this is a normal sound. However annoying, most all CLK's do it at some audible level.

I would find another repair facility, as they do not seem to be getting the problems resolved. At least for another opinion.

I have 102,000 miles and I have the ticking sound at start up, but mine also comes and goes. Never had any troubles with it and everyone who has looked at it says this is normal.

Good luck, as I know these things can be frustrating...on any car!

Rocko - If they don't rectify your issues, give HBL a try in Tysons. They have been top notch for me.

Talking

hey guys..just got my car from ASC and they replaced the MAF sensor and it took almost all of the problems away..the shaking during idle..the hesitation..the car pulls so much better now..it feels like it can breathe again lolz..anyway, the ticking sound also disappeared..my service tech said that installed this "B.G." to help the lifters get more oil during startups..whatever he installed worked! he also noticed that my new car warranty is expiring on the 29th so he changed my misaligned fog light and my command system (radio was cutting off on the left channel occasionaly)..just wanted to let y'all know..im not selling this anymore! i was about to trade it in for a volvo S80 T6---thank god i didnt! :p thanks for all the reply guys! happy cruisin
