MY 02 CLK430 RECENTLY STARTED IDLING ROUGH FOR 5-10 SECONDS THEN RETURNING TO NORMAL. THE CAR IS NORMAL WHILE DRIVING, THEN,WHEN WAITING AT A SIGNAL FOR 1-2 MINUTES, IDLE GETS ROUGH, RPM DROPS FOR 5-10 SECONDS, THEN ITS NORMAL AGAIN. IF STILL STUCK AT SIGNAL FOR 1-2 MINUTES MORE IT WILL DO IT AGAIN. I CLEANED THE MAF PER ALBERT'S INSTRUCTIONAL AND CHANGED FUEL FILTER. I AM ORIGINAL OWNER, CAR HAS 150,000 MILES. PLUGS CHANGED AT 100,000. NO MALFUNCTION LIGHT OR CHECK ENG LIGHT. LOOKING FOR IDEAS, THANKS.

It pops right out. Covered mine with suede until I can get a new piece. (changing trim from dark to light wood)

Flat head between the wood and dash, a little prying and it pops out. You can hold the trim and pop the rest out easily by slightly pulling on the part you already got free. I started on passenger side and went towards drivers. Replace in reverse.

Where did you get poly bushings from? I've got d2rs coilovers and front rear hr swaybars polys would be a nice addition

Doesn't explain the RPM drops, but check the Engine Mounts. My CLK55 had similar issues and changing the 3 mounts resoled the rough idle issues.

The small peice of chrome/plastic around my drivers side keyhole somehow fell off while my sister was driving my car while i was in jamaica(idk the real story as the square cutouts in the side panels have fallen out too, one on each side ) so now my passengers side looks very flush and clean while my side has the ugly white plastic bit showing around the keyhole. any help on sourcing these parts??

I have noted after servicing the engine: Idle instability and hesitation on 2 occasions now,

To correct the problem each time I reseated the air box atop the engine. I think the fresh air leak was affecting MAF sensor.

hey guys..bought the car off someone noticed the low beam only seemed to light up a couple of feet in front of the car..ordered the H7 osram bulbs swapped them out...looked good at first (although it was daytime) tried them out and same issue as before..my fog lights light up more of the road than my low beam.. any ideas?

Did you replace the headlights after an accident or just renew them. Possible they were never aimed. You just need to aim them. You can find this info online and shine your lights on your garage door or wall and follow instructions. You don't need special tools for this.

Sir swift is on the right track with a headlight alignment check. I am going to write that down!
I am running OEM xenon and like the look but they don't have any punch. I have to use fogs/driving lamps on unlit roads. The xenon has a stunning appearance though. I am considering projectors, most of my commuting is at night.

Not an issue of angle. When I look into the headlight the only light coming from it is from the actual bulb..

I had mine checked today.. There is a screw that will drain the differential and another screw that you will let you fill it up.

Its regular 80/90... I just bought 2 quarts today.

i don't know if it's repost but, anyway, here it goes: how to remove the entire wood trim front center console, upper trim that goes from one side to another, and the door's wood trim.
