I have the second bumper here, front side markers are deleted. I think it looks awesome. It is fiberglass and will take some custom work to fit nice and get the right fogs. It only seems to be available from the UK.Originally Posted by SHEMM

New to the Forum, I just bought a CLK55 (W208) about 4 weeks ago...
I love it
, I had a hard time to find one (in black) and in good condition, I went to pick it up in Germany,
It was first registered in Japan and stayed there 10 years before returning to Germany.

CLKBenz, I like the new wheels. It looks like you're still thinking about the drop. I was in the same situation and ended up just swapping out the stock spring pads to #1s all around. All the drop I needed for $40.

Nice! I've been dying to see those wheels on a CLK! Those are the Euro Mag ES2's right? If so are they the 35 rear 32 front offset? More pics pleeeeease!

Yeah, sort of struggling on the lowering options. I'm not sure if I want to go coil overs or lowering springs. The Pads you mention look like a great option. Do you have a part # for those or a link to buy them?Originally Posted by njgilligan

Thanks for the help!
I was debating what to do for suspension, and thought about doing the Euro Spring upgrade (Described in detail here: https://mbworld.org/forums/clk55-amg...pressions.html)
I ended up going with #1 pads all around (5mm) and felt I didn't need any more drop. Our cars use the same pads as w210 E classes:
Front:
A 210 321 01 84 (5mm)
A 210 321 02 84 (9mm)
A 210 321 03 84 (13mm)
A 210 321 04 84 (17mm)
A 210 321 05 84 (21mm)
Rear:
A 210 325 01 84 (5mm)
A 210 325 02 84 (9mm)
A 210 325 03 84 (13mm)
A 210 325 04 84 (17mm)

i swear the design of these cars is absolutely timeless! They still look like they could be a brand new design!

Absolutely. I still get plenty of compliments, and most people are surprised when I tell them it's a 2001.Originally Posted by trudawg

I've had some cool cars, but the dollar to compliment factor of this car is out of control. Everyone thinks I got a raise or inheritance when I bought this car, they think it is worth 3 times as much as I paid. I love every minute of it.Originally Posted by njgilligan

I have been wondering what those Euro Mags look like on a CLK (I saw them on an S Class)...They look great! Very similar to the SSR GT2 Knock offs that I had on my last 55 but Im looking to do something new. More pics!

I finally made a nice Quad Exhaust system for my 2001 CLK55 AMG W208. I originally bought a quad exhaust system on the mbenz form. It was a nice one but I did put a non AMG quad exhaust muffler on an AMG car. It was a regular quad exhaust system for non-AMG W208. I think it came from a clk320 but not sure. After I got it installed, I realized you don't get that powerfully boost that is AMG is know for. I went on a German Ebay website and there are lots of Duplex mufflers for CLK W208 vehicles. I bought a exhaust muffler for AMG W208 Duplex muffler. It works "Amazing!". I swear I think my AMG is faster then it was before! lol When I had a non-AMG muffler on my car it just didn't get that extra quick boost. I was happy I only had it on it for about 6 months or so on my car. It still a nice exhaust system but just not for a AMG car. I guess it looked very nice and always wanted my car to have that quad exhaust look and was in a rush to get a quad exhaust look on my CLK55 car.
I ended up going on www.ebay.de and item number 380278297152 for AMG duplex exhaust system cost close to 1100 Euro and the non-amg 699 Euro. You can probably get it from another company but I read all the remarks and notes about this company and everyone mentioned great things about this company. I HIGHLY recommend people who do want do to something like mine to your W208 CLK, get more info about your car on a German Motor Ebay site. I just installed it today and it works amazing! My car has the super extra boost as soon as I push the pedal! I just love the AMG power again. I just wanted people who were clueless like me and definitively learned my lessen never use non-AMG on a AMG vehicle. lol My next AMG car I get I know I won't make that mistake. Just wanted let people know about this. Here are my new pictures of my car with the quad exhaust AMG duplex muffler. I just took it to a muffler place and only charged me $100 put it on. But other places may or may not charge more money. And the diffuser from the car I ordered it from California. It slabs right on the crease on the originally AMG bumpers.
