I like what you did with the hood ornament. is that plasti dip by chance? i used that on my grill, might try it on my ornament too. also I wish my head lamps were that clear

Yea its plasti dip, the ornament came out really well, still retained all of the detail from the logo. I put about 4 coats on. It still swivels as well.

My New Front Bumper W208 CLK55 AMG with DRL lights
Wanted to show you my new 2001 clk55 amg front bumper with DRL lights. My next project making my vehicle into a Quad exhaust system. I just bought the quad exhaust system and going to buy the diffuser which VIS Racing sport has. As soon as I get my quad exhaust sytem hooked up. I will post some pics but I hope it looks very similar too babyboigsxr. He did a amazing job on the clk w208 rear bumper.

what size wheels are those? ARe they OEM, what did they come off of?

thanks bro! there 18" OEM with the AMG name on each rim. They all have the mercedes part number on the back of all the rims with Bridgestone Potenza low profile tires RFT. I am pretty sure those are the tires on them. I think they been dipped in to make it chrome. I am pretty sure all mercedes AMG or any mercedes rims can't buy them chrome. I bought them on ebay for a great deal! They came off from a 2006 Mercedes CLK55 AMG. These rims seems much lighter then the original rims I had on them, which where 17" monoblock. Hope this helps.
Next month I am making my vehicle into a quad exhaust system. I just bought VIS Racing diffuser for my vehicle and also have my quad exhaust muffler as well too which is for this car. I will post pictures on that on here when I am done too.

Love that blackout you did on the hood ornament and trunk - that's exactly what I am looking to do on mine. Actually think I want to replace the hood orn. with a flush AMG badge while I'm at it also.
What was your process with the plasti-dip, and which coating did you use? Did you mask off the surrounding area, or remove the emblems?

If you know of any other bumper options let me know. I've done the big star grill but it got old real quick so I went with the clean look including smoothing out/off all MB Emblems. Hmmmm, wondering how many others feel this way. Maybe I should do a poll. But thanks anyways.

Unfortunately you would have to find a shop to do this. They would have to split two bumpers and put together i.e. a W208 and W209 bumper.

I was sure I saw a 208 with a single fin grill like mine, guess I was drinking too much when I saw the pic. Anyways, if the only thing a guy can 'pick' about is a front grill (to which there aren't many options), you've done a pretty damn good job
I take heat for my wheels all the time but they are getting swapped out soon enough, can't please everyone.

Hi guys! I just got myself a CLK from 1998. What Ive noticed is that almost EVERYONE else posting pictures have side skirts in matching paint on their rides. For example Williams707, MBFLO and roy123474. The only one Ive seen that doesnt have it is Miodeks ride pictured above. Where do you get these skirts, I want them on my car... Ill post some pics when the weather cleans up.
