are you going to change the city lights too or just keep them the same? i like the HID's as long as they're not too bright...sometimes when driving toward someone with HID's they're sooo bright it actually hurts. I can admire from afar, but when I'm driving and they're too bright...I'm not a fan. Pretty though in the garage.

The kit is made by McCULLOCH. I got it from ClkBenz430. It was easy to install. Everything was plug in play. I had to drill a hole in my dust caps for the HID blub wire. (small price to pay) I was told the higher the blub the less light it produces. (4000k - 8000k) Now all I have to do is have the headlights adjusted because my front is lower then my rear.

00 clk 320 and 3 hondas. Darn I am down to 4 cars.
Don't use screws to install the ballasts. Use the thick double sided tape instead. I burned a set of ballasts because I grounded them to the body with the screws. They only lasted a few weeks like that. I have had my new set for over a year now since I replaced the ballasts and used the tape instead of screws.

How difficult was it to remove the headlight housings? I've tried a couple times but cant get it to lift out. I assume bumper removal is required which is something i havent had time for. Any advice there?

I used tie wraps to scure the ballasts to the factory wiring harness. I didn't have to remove the light housing. Just replaced the oem bulbs with the HID ones.

Zip ties and duct tape did wonders for me.

Nice looking setup! With 8000K headlights you might want to try some led city lights. I have white led city lights on my CLK but since I have the factory HID (which I think are 4300K) there is a noticeable color difference between the T.V. screen blueish/purple hue of the light that the led's emit compared to the crystal (no blue hue) light the factory HID's produce. On your setup though, judging from your pics, I bet the light color produced by white led's would almost perfectly match the hue produced by your 8000K's. Plus, I think the led's were only like $2.49 each.
BTW - wasn't your car red before?? Or am I just remembering some pics you posted/hosted for another member?? Or am I just blind
Either way - very nice.
Take care
