Stock vs. Eisenmann Race - sound clips

I have a 99 430. I have the AMG air intake and had the resonator removed. Here are a couple video clips in case anyone is thinking of doing this but wants to hear the difference.

Here is the car with the stock exhaust:
Stock

And with the Eisenmann:
Eisenmann Race

I love the new exhaust!!!!

I bought it used off a guy on Ebay. I paid $475 shipped to me. Not too bad of a deal I guess as he was from Texas so it probably didn't get a lot of weather.

I really couldn't tell you. I had mine off before I put the exhaust on and I've never heard another 430 in person with an Eisenmann and the resonator still on.

Yep.....my wife thinks I'm stupid when I drag her out there to videotape but she understands I just love doing this stuff so she puts up with it.

Time to take a trip out to DC so we can compare! Damn that sounds so good when you took off.

This video shows it a little better.
Burning rubber

I like it and the quality is pretty nice but I'm undecided if I'd recommend it or not. It's slightly curved so even though the middle section is at the very edge of the trunk the ends of the wing as set back a little. From the wrong point of view it almost looks like I installed it too far back. I'm sure I have many more pictures of it on Benz World. Anyway, here is the spoiler I bought. Oh yeah....ThrillKill has the same one as well so you can ask him what he thinks about it.

Spoiler

Tell me about it. Trust me....I'd love to come out there. I wish I would have owned my Benz a few years back when my wife was living in Sterling for a few months.

Thanks for the info and the link. I think it looks nice from the video. You think I should look for another brand, you have any idea what brand that one is?

Didn't it come with the "third" brake light, did you just choose not to hook it up?

This is the view I'm talking about. It almost seems like it's mounted too far back but in reality the middle is at the very edge of the trunk. I have no clue what brand it is though. I just think it's a replica of something.

What do you mean about the light? It came with the brake light in the middle and that's functional.

2002 CLK 55 AMG
Hi JT, I love the car and the sound of the exhaust is awesome. I still don't understand why the tail looks like it's been mounted too far forward?? Doesn't TK have the same tail but he mounted it right near the edge of the trunk it looks nice. Hmm please don't flame just wondering. Thanks

Uhh....you can mount it anywhere you want and I wanted the middle of it to not hang over the edge of the trunk. I guess if I had it just hang over a little bit it wouldn't look like it was mounted so far back. I'll take a pic from the side so you can see what I'm talking about.

I couldn't see the break light lighting up in the videos but, yeah I can see it in the still photos.

I think it looks nice but, it does look like it could be moved back about an inch so that it line up with the farthest rear edge of the trunk lid.

I noticed a 323 in the parking garage at work today and his spoiler is farther back then the top of the trunk lid but, it lines up with the farthest (lower) edge of the trunk so, it looks like all of these may fit that way?

Thanks again for the info.
Davis

If that same 323 is there tomorrow I'll take a pick so you can see what I mean.

Yeah, I could have mounted it anywhere I wanted but when I lined it up it just looked "right" where I had it. Once I put it on I think I could have moved it back just a little further just like you said. It's on now though so there's not much I'm going to be able to do about it now. Oh well. I still like it overall and think it looks good.
