I got caught coming home from the city in the snow storm on saturday and I heard the dreaded sound of a flat. I got out and looked and sure enough I had a flat. After getting the bolts off the wheel (which I removed for the first time) that felt like Arnold Schwartzenegger tightened them. Itake off the old wheel and go to put the spare and the wheel bolts are too short
. I was pissed so pissed cold and frustrated that I just rode the rest of the way home on the flat doing 10 mph. Is there something that I was missing? I have the full size black rim spare. Are there some bolts in a secret compartment to be used only with the spare? WTf!!!

Thanks viking01 for that link I havent been on for a while and just saw it. It was very useful (for me at least). Maybe it should be a sticky I'm sure somebody else may have lost or dont have theirs.

I would have called Mercedes road side assistance. It's a free service for all Mercedes' owners and it's "open" 24/7.

Hmm, my car has a full spare. I thought that all MB's were coming with a full rim. If not, maybe the previous owner bought a full one.
