Question Please ID these rims...

Re: 2002 430CLK Cabrio

Bought what I assumed was correct rim on ebay from description.....

But..Nooooo...when I compared it to mine, of course it's different.

Could someone give me the correct description of these two rims?

P.S. If someone needs the ebay rim I'll sell it cheap. (Obviously my rim is the one on the car).

Thanks

The bottom one looks like it's for a 170-chassis SLK. What's the offset?

Chappy....I don't know..here's the info from the back of the rim and the listing on ebay.

71/2JX17H2ET37
HWA1704010102
Bolt Pattern 5X112

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=8054127732

Does that info help?

BTW thanks for the reply.

Here's your clue...the first three digits after HWA (170) indicate this is a wheel for the 170-chassis SLK. Stock on the sport package IIRC. It's the size for the front wheel (7.5 X 17).

They'll fit on your CLK, but the style is just slightly different....as you are painfully aware at the moment.

Okay, gotcha. It looks like Tire Rack has both available on their website.

Yep....a pain in my ****. I was in too much of a hurry, and should have done my homework before bidding.

I don't have the car right now, would you know the correct number for my car...or where to look it up? I went to the Tire Rack site and my wheels resemble the AMG 5-Spoke 203's, and the one from ebay is a AMG 5-Spoke 170. BTW, I bought my car from a MB dealership.

Sorry....don't have the part number. Call the parts counter at your local dealership for the part #.

Black Benz is correct. 'Thick' spoke came on the 00/01 models and the thin spoke 02 and on.

7 1/2 wide correct, that would be a front wheel. I could use one of those to replace one I had repaired after hitting a pot hole. Even though the repair was very good, I still notice a little shake from that wheel at certain speeds.

How much you want? I'm in the Seattle area FWIW
