19" rims....whats the real deal?

can someone answer my questions in a once and for all manner?

sorry to be abrupt but i am tearing my hair out trying to mod my car.

00 430clk uk spec std 17" rims std suspension

the plan is eibach or h+r springs plus 19" rims

will it rub?

how wide a rim was thinking 8.5 f 9.5r ?

will i need to roll the archs? if i stick to 8" rims will i get away with stock archs?

do i ask too many stupid questions?

With 19X8.5/9.5, H&R springs and stock pads the only time the back will rub is if you have passangers there. the fronts will not rub. you will need to roll the rear fenders, but very little. And Pffelan, always remember, there are no stupid questions, just stupid people

Don not get eiback springs they suck

they cant even make each spring the correct length lol... also change your shocks cuz if you dont your just compressing the stock shocks all the aftermarket shocks are a bit shorter to compensate for the springs..!!!!!

cant really comment on tire wear cause i only have driven about 5k miles. but tell you what, the tires i have on now (yoko avs sport) are much quieter than the POS continentals that the car came with. and as far as handling goes, the yokos are lighyears ahead of contis

do you have to drive in the wet...
?

have conti's at the mo and find them crap in the dry but strangely good in the wet... which it tends to be over here!

had bad experiace with yokos on fwd cars in the past...but heard the newer stuff is good.

All of them, as much as I can...
Yoko AVS stick like gum but plan to trash them after 12K miles. I would have gone for SO3s but only Yoko makes the sizes for 19s on CLK. 235 35 19 and 265 30 19s . Tyre pressure is also critical on the heavier CLK55. I found 43PSI front and 40PSI rear the best ride, traction, and wear combination. 2 or 3 PSI up or down from that really messes things up for my ride. Hope this helps..

I have Brabus 19x8.5F 19x9.5R, the front rubs like crazy whenever I make turns. Suspension setup is H&R Sport, Koni Adjustable, and 1/1 Spring Pads, rolled all 4 fenders. STILL RUB even with spacers. Hope this helps.
