Garage door remote....
As a matter of fact, each of the 3 buttons are programmed for 3 different garage doors at different locations, and all the garage door openers are rolling code.
Read through the car manual carefully, they will tell you how to program it. IF that doesn't work, read through the programming remote part in your garage door opener manual.
Does anyone have a Genie Intellicode opener that works insync with the Mercedes remote???
park the car as close as possible to the garage door opener motor. Hit the learn button, then press the button on the CLK to program it, the light on the garage door opener should stay lit
press the button in the car again, and it should be in there.
good luck!

But that was not the case for my CLK. Maybe the year of your car make a difference (can only interact with single code receivers/motors).

Edit- Doh! Judging by 2001CLK's name, I guess that theory's out the window.
and if they replace it, then you will get the newest of the new mods for the CLKs. And hopefully it should work after all that.
Seriously, i would try a few more times using the learn button on the motor and then use a remote.
I had to play with it a few times myself in order to get it to work right.
Good luck either way
sync-ing with the 'learn' button on the motor will not work.
as many of you have complained about not being able to program with a rolling code opener, try using this procedure:
1.) reset the car's buttons:
- hold the far left and far right buttons at the same time for a few seconds (i think you need to wait until you see some light flash)
2.) remote-sync buttons
- use an already programmed remote control garage door opener to sync a button in the car... the light at the mirror should blink, release buttons when the light starts flashing fast
3.) sync with motor
- now, press the learn button on the motor, then press the same button you remote-sync-ed (the learn indicator on the motor should stop blinking, but will stay lit), press the same button again and that light should go off entirely
WHOA-LA.... it is now programmed. or at least i hope it should.
GOOD LUCK!!!
Thank you for posting the instructions. I thought that it would not work with the rolling code and have not looked in the owners manual. I have a 99 CLK320 and I followed your instructions. My mirror now works with my rolling code garage door operner!!!! Yeah!!!! THANKS! If is not a model year problem.
glad i could help...
LowRyder? It didn't work for you? If not, maybe you can get the controller and transmitter changed under warranty

I tried MMGrad's instructions to the letter, but my CLK430 wont work with my Genie Intellicode opener. What happens is that the 'learn' light on the opener (motor) blinks, then I press and hold the mirror-button (which I have already programmed with the hand-held remote)... the 'learn' light (motor) now stops blinking and remains solid (so far, so good)...now, when I press the mirror button again, the 'learn' light (motor) goes off (exactly as the manual says it should).
Only problem is that it still won't open the door. To top it off, once performing this procedure, my regular garage remote will no longer work, and must be re-'learned' to the motor.
What gives?
Does the car learn the signal from old school openers that use codes through pins?
MMGRAD? 2001CLK? Anyone?
