power increase for 430

ive been wondering of the mods that give the best power increase on a clk430, ESPECIALLY a faster reaction time when floored, and what ceiling u dont want to cross b4 it starts stressing too much the remaining stock pieces. thanx

Headers make a significant difference as well.

i found a pretty good thread of a "do-it-yourself" success story where this guy improved the response and power increase on his e55.i wonder if anything similar can be done to the 430 intake. good thread tho

BB,
You got anymore pics of your whip? The pic you have in your posts is very interesting. I want to see what your wheels look like. By the way, does Biz's shop mount tires? I got a couple of Pirelli's coming from Tirerack and I need em mounted by Saturday. It's gonna be a topless kind of a weekend!

I have some crappy pics. Why is everyone tryin to buy my wheels today? You're the 4th person to ask me today! If you're interested pm me a price and Ill let you know if the other buyers fall through. I dont think BIz has a tire machine. Anyways here are the crappy pics:
Well I already uploaded 2 of them here: https://mbworld.org/forums/showpost....4&postcount=16

Damn dude, that joint is str8 pimpin! Looks like its right off the track. I now see where the 'it's only half-black' moniker comes from. I like that rear window spoiler. I got a 'vert tho so no need for me to talk about that! Sorry to disappoint but I'm not in the market for rims right now. I just wanted to see what your wheels look like since I've never seen your whip. I also now know what/who to look for when I make it up to CiCi's on a Friday night.
Another reason I asked about the wheels is I had a blow out on 95 Sunday. I was able to pull over and change 'er but the tire was toast. I considered just upsizing all the way around w/new rims (goin 18 eventually) but I just can't hack that cost right now. However, I want to see as many different combinations of wheels, rim setups, and levels of 'drop', I can and what they'd look like. When it's time to make a move ($), I want to KNOW what I want. Biz had some 18" HRE's (chrome) at his shop last time I was over there. Maybe I could line those suckas up against mine ride to see what they'd look like.
How much is yours dropped? Also, are those SSRGT's 18s? What tire sizes are you running?

Well I have 19's. 235/30/19 fornt and 265/30/19 rear. These rims will be sold shortly, i have 4 different offers right now just waiting for someone to give me the money.
Phade, Im either going to be selling my current front bumper or the new bumper I got from Europassion. I'll know which one in a few weeks. I dont want to deal with the hassle of shipping though so we'll see.

No headers for me, but if you ever looked at your stock headers you could see how restricted they are. Slap some Kleemann headers and you'll feel a difference. I've seen the Kleemann headers and stocks side by side. The Kleemann headers are a much better design.

Regarding your kit. Ask your body shop how much it would cost to mold your stock bumper to one of the Carlsson kits. It'll fit much better, and it'll be more durable.

Why are you selling the rims? Aren't they almost new? What are you looking to get, or is that a suprise?

They are pretty much new. I am selling because they wont clear my Brembo BBK. There are alot of different wheels I'm looking at right now, not sure whats next maybe DCR Catalunya's in charcoal or I migh tjust go back to Sevas.

See...I'm glad I asked. I need to consider a BBK if I buy a set of rims first. I didn't realize the BBKs give so many fitment problems with a lot rims (from what I'm reading). THANKS for the info! Happy sleddin!
