Clicking sound from rear passenger side...
Well it only happens after the car has been sitting all night and I can't seem to find the problem. Is this a warning sound meaning that a part needs to be replaced, or just a problem that requires adjusting?
The car seems to be operating properly, just a weird sound in the A.M. on my way to work.

wandering noise mystery...
Last year I had a similar noise that started out as a faint rattle that was hard to locate. Anyone that listened for it had a different perspective on where it was coming from. Over time it got worse that started to sound like a exhaust heat shield that had come loose. We had the car in our race shop on a rack checked everything from exhaust to suspension componets to brake calipers, even the fuel cell mounting brackets. We finally found the problem to be the catalytic converter had failed internally. The internal fastening systems had snapped loose allowing everything to rotate and rest on the casing. Bad news is the parts run just under $1000. Ouch...
On the other hand, it maybe something simple. Good luck.

Any good independent MB mechanic can check it out. I would avoid the dealership unless the car is still under warranty. Unfortunately, I don't know anyone in Texas I can refer you to.

If you can, replace the CATs with high flow aftermarket cats. It shouldnt be too big a problem in Texas I wouldnt think. They're cheaper and give a small or moderate HP boost depending on your mods, but arguably you sacrifice some torque for the HP.

I'll have to check into that. I know with my Vette the high flow cats caused it to fail inspection and I had to pay the guy off. Any reccomendations on which brand or website to go with ?
