Mesh Grill on AMG front spoiler? opinions?
I am a fan of the AMG bodykit on my car, love the simple yet elegant look it gives my car. However, i am also a fan of the mesh grill on the bottom of bodykits like the Lorinser DTM kit. How do you think my car would look if i removed the horizontal piece between the foglights (the damn one that fell out in the parking lot because Mercedes decided not to install it properly ) and fabricating a white mesh grill to fit in that space? I would want it installed as far back into the slot as possible so that it would be subtle and not tacky. Havent seen anyone do this yet, wondering what you guys think. Im at college and dont have a way to get a picture on here, but anyone with some free time mind photoshopping a CLK430 (if not white, in a light color) so i can see how it would look? Thanks in advance for any help or opinions.

thats why i would like to see pictures, but agreed on that. silver i thought might look too unfinished with the white car, maybe black would be the way to go. but i think you are right in that white would be too much.

Not too bad
It doesn't look that bad. Try putting it the same silver mesh grill that they use with Lorinser. (I would try but no photosop ) I was actually also thinking about the same thing. Or maybe putting the mess grill in the back ground while still keeping that silver thing in the middle.
Accord.......bust yo photoshop out......here's a project for ya

I think it looks too tacky. I say stick with the original. Just my opinion. The DTM kit does look good with the mesh grill, but not with the original facial. But good job on the photoshop though!

Petie, Where can you buy the mesh. Does it cone in a roll or what? I asked this question a few months ago and someone told me to go to Lowes, and buy some chicken wire. It hurt my feelings so I dropped the subject. Just kidding about hurting my feelings. I see you are from Charlotte I am from Wilmington nice to meet you!

nice to meet you GBD, im currently in school in the sticks of Tennessee, but yeah i like right outside Charlotte. I hadnt really considered where i was going to purchase the mesh, i know they sell it precut and in rolls for rice rockets, that is always a possibility, but i dont think that chicken wire is an entirely bad idea, although it does seem a bit intimidating. I wouldnt want to have chicken wire on my car, but it would work well i think. mmgrad, you were a lot of help, thank you. i think the black would be a bit darker when actually put on the car as it would be back in the shadows, as would the silver, i think the silver with no center piece looks pretty good. as long as i am careful, i think i could make it look very nice. we'll see i guess, still want to decide if it is something i should do as the car looks great as is.

funky102,
yeah, i saw that on there, it looked to me that the mesh was large in respect to the size of the wire and the size of the mesh, i could be wrong though, just judging by the picture. does it look that way to you, but for 5 bucks, if it doesnt work, i can pick up change of the ground for a day or two and get my money back.

I would have preferred if MB redesigned the CLk to this version.... which MB guru can pinpoint which car i 'borrowed' these parts from? Pretty obvious....hehehe
Lets see if someone can custom mold this body....
