here is some pics of the VIP clk

just got the car back still alot of minor detail work is left and the pictures are bad because i got shakky a$$ hands. but here they are and you can see my projector conversion too from w210 to w208( lots of hours and lots of work but done just a little adjusting left and the rubber srounds).

this picture is just to give you an idea of how the blue LED conversion for the gauge cluster looks at night (the color)

Lot's of light and dark spotting on the cluster. Generally tends to happen with led conversions. It's very hard to keep them from spotting. Especially on the OBC display. I've built over 1400 clusters and the German clusters are always the hardest to work with. I completely refuse to do them. Here's pics of a couple hundred dashes I have done recently: http://lextech.org/gallery/index.php

If you did that dash, more power to you. I swore I'd never do another German dash again. It's just too much of a pain in the butt. I won't even do my own car. One day I'll get bored and start on it.

I like the car, it's coming along nicely. Can you show a few more pics of the lip spoiler?

good job VIP....should have kept your CF hood and just painted it? how difficult was the projector conversion? did you change out the projector to the audi ones? or are those the original depot ones?

VIP - looks great man! I like how you blacked out the bottom part of your AMG rear bumper between your sick quad exhaust. Very original (at least to me). I plan to violate your copyright on the blackout

+1 on more pics of the exhaust.

Is that an intercooler up front??

Congrats...

thanks everyone. hounestly the black piece on the bumper i got the idea from the w211 e55. and as far as the step lights go i found them on ebay and i know there are online shops that carry them very cheap too $75 for both sides. i will post more pics of the under body and the quad exhaust as soon as i go in for my transmission fluid change bevause that would be a perfect chance since they will be lifting the body. there are a lot of detail work left such as the rubber inserts around my projector headlights, my in car pc and the xenons for my projectors, and i also need to take off the intercooler since i scrapped the turbo project (intercooler for sale $175 it's customised for the clk) i just want to keep the car reliable for daily driving and try to get into a lambo gallardo <--- already fast not much work needed haha. but thanks for all the great comments.

thanks again everyone for youre kind comments. the cluster was a bitc.. and a half to do because you have to put the LEDs in the perfect position or they won't light up the plastic piece that acts as the fiber optic it took a while but i got it done, i'll try to put a dyi for it when i have the time to take some pictures and i will also do a write up on the push start since i got like 4 PM's about it.waddup TK yes it has the intercooler ends you just have to buy the silicone hoses to connect it to the piping it was from my previouse turbo setup but i never used it because i took off the turbo before i connect it to the intercooler so it's brand new never used. and TK if you are intrested PM me i'll hook you up we have a history of great business so i'll hook you up youre a great business man.

I have a dumb question. What the hell is that knob behind the gear shifter where the cupholder usually goes? Did you put the rubber boot on your gear shifter?

THAT IS THE hARMON kARDON IPOD SYSTEM (DRIVE+PLAY) THATS IS THE CONTROLLER AND ON THE LEFT HANDSIDE ON THE DASH IS THE DISPLAY. THE SHIFTBOOT IS OFF OF A AVANTGRADE CLK IN ENGLAND I HAD TO MODIFIED IT A BIT TO FIT MY CAR AND THE SHIFTKNOB.

You did see them on ebay but they are ugly becase they ave the "strainer" look.

Very nice work VIPCLK320! I recently installed a front mount heat exchanger but it was too big to fit centered and I had to cut up my bumper to make it work
