Do you have to replace the entire manifold or can you replace just the hose.

New question - are there special tools required to remove teh manifold - i.e. all the other hoses/lines coming in?
Is there anything special I need to be carefull about?
thanks.

I have already purchased the new gaskets and MB sealant to replace the intake manifold after the repair. Does anyone know the torque requirements for the eight bolts?
Thank you!

The second hose with barb might work, basically you are putting a splice connector into the piece of the hose that is stuck in the manifold. I would put some glue around it if it does fit.
Your best bet is to get a used manifold, take it apart and clean it thoroughly and be very careful not to damage the hose connection.
When I did this job, I cut off the hose at a few inches, coated it with the liquid plasti-dip, then spliced in some new MB vacuum hose to the original length.
I have a spare 430 manifold. $100 shipped to USA48 if anyone wants it.
Brand new manifold is about $1000, but might be worth it if you love the car and don't want to spend hours refurbishing a used manifold.
