can anyone in LA area do me a favor???
I got a fix it ticket for my tinted tailights...so im wondering if anyone will swap taillights with me for 30mins so i can go and get them checkd and passd then switch them rite back...if anyone can do this for me it will be greatly appreciated...give me a call on my cell (323) 702-7131 my name is Amir...ill drive out to u...and come back...if i had any money i would pay...im 17 and i do all the maintanence on it myself...im kinda broke...thanks for all the help i have gotten from this website!

Let's see...we've got a web posting advertising for someone to be an accessory to an act intended to fool a judge by a self-proclaimed broke 17 year old who does all the "maintanence" on his $50K car himself.

I know you are broke...but i guess the only way is to go onto ebay and find some cheap ones if no one is willing to help you. If you don't fix that fix it ticket...it will probably cost you about $200 or more...you rather spend that on second set of lights for the next fix it ticket as well. Most cops are pigs..they'll find any way to get you. You should of gotten away with the tinted lights...but I guess he is just hating.
it all comes down to a cop......
tinted tail lights are illegal for street use but most cops let it go but it all depends on that one coper

I'm not hating because he modded the car. I've modded at least 10 cars over the years. I'm commenting on the fact that a legal minor who has no money wants to go to someone's house (to use what I can only imagine is a flathead and a set of channel locks) to remove, install, remove, and re-install some rear lights on a nice car.

do the w210 fit on the 208? also would the clk 430 fit on the 320? i have a friend with a 430 tht would let me...its not hard to open up the taillights i had them removed and put back on when i got them tinted...its just easier with 2 people...

why would i do all that for??? i'm not doing this to get glory or prove you wrong i'm just helping out another person in need! "what goes around comes around" if every time someone does nice the reciver does something nice for someone else as a pay back this world would be a much nicer place to live. NOW THINK ABOUT THAT!!! by the way the lights take about 15 mints total to take out and they don't require any special tools.

if you like the law so much i think you are on the wrong forums this is for mercedes enthusiasts we modify and we enjoy. also about youre law argument there only thing that the law says about the tailights is that they have to have the reflectors in them and. e55 w210 come with smoked signals and lamborghini murcilago comes with tinted tail lights from the factory , as far as the visibilty goes the car behind you has to be able to see youre brake lights and thats it and that problem is solved on many newer cars such as w208 by having a 3rd brake light behind the rear window. any other questions??!!
