New soft top?

Left my car in the carpark ( locked with security guard patrol ) and on monday morning i was driving to my workplace. Normally the car is warm after 3-5 minutes, and this time, half way to work and the car still didn't quite warm up. getting out of the car at work i saw that a aXXhole had used a knife to tear the back just above the window off. I have gone to the dealer and asked for a price on the repairs to be just above 10.000 USD, now does anybody know where i can get a repair kit or buy at least a new outer part of the soft top? If I use my insurance company to cover the costs it will cost me about 2.000 USD ( bonus loss ++ ).

Thank you in advance

Was it an act of vandalism or did they break in to steal something? Either way that is just not right. I've owed many cabrio's from VW,s to Porches and now my CLK and knock on wood have never had to deal wit this issue. I usually see duct tape over the drivers head right in line with the lock. I use to just remove all valuables including the radio and just leave it unlocked. Again as a softie sorry to hear about it.

I had the same thing happen to me but it was only a two inch cut but did not cut through the inside lining. I had a auto upholstery shop fix it. Since your is a big piece that was cut, you can go to any auto upholstery shop and have them order a replacement. They are aftermarket ones and cost only 7-800 not including labor to put it on.

The cut on the car is about 40 - 45 inches, cut all the way trough. It was a brake in, and they did it to 5 other cars parked in the carpark also. My was the most damaged, they stole small things like cd's, mp3 players etc from the other cars. I had my documentbag in the back with the windshot on and totally covered. They broke in and took a mp3 players.

But my problem is, I live in Norway and there aren't many places to get aftermarket things here, so does somebody have any links?

Wow. I never knew Norway had crime like that but I guess I shouldn't be suprised. I only saw a place that sold the whole top for $6000 but I think you should look into replacing the upholstery. That'll be much cheaper.
