on my sis's 2000 one, it only has one intake duct on the left (or right? i forgot).
My question is that does the 01-02 have two intake air ducts like those on the W203 C320?

CLK320 has
just one duct - on the passenger side.
V8 has twin snorkels, as well as the electric fan in front of the radiator to assist cooling down the engine in those tight quarters.
You'll notice on the 320 equipped models that you can see the center support in front of the radiator.

There are differances...
maybe the C-class sedan has more room under the hood?
just a guess on my part.
The dual snorkel 'V8 style' engine cover has the air filter elements incorporated into the underside of the cover.
On the single duct V6, the air filter box takes up most of the space in the front passenger side area under the hood. Why it was done in this fashion, I can't say.
