If you go for a 2" drop by using 1# pads front and rear, you get a fair amount of negative camber. You then need to use K-mac kit front and K-mac or Speedybnz kit on the rear to correct camber.
If you go for a more conservative 1" drop by using #4 pads front and rear you can settle for the Mercedes camber correction bolts front and Speedybnz kit rear to correct the negative camber.

It has been a while since I last dealt with lowering my ride, but I ended up going with Eibach springs and koni shocks (set on med). I ended up using a Kmac kits to get my camber back in line, but something else happened.
My ride height is so low that it is affecting things like front tires slide when I have the steering wheel almost at lock position (going either left or right). It feels like my front end is sliding when pulling out of a tight spot in a parking lot or garage. Usually after alignment it is good to go. Also it is hard for me to go over speed bumps as my lift pads (rubber pads under the car from where you put a lift jack) hit pretty hard.
I do not understand why the car went so low, it almost seems like something else has happened. I took it to a shop that works on exotics and race cars to do all of my work, and they are good but I see that no one in this form has had my issues.
also I am using standard CLK pads #1 and #4 but compared to everyone else, my ride is lower.
Also I am using Axis Mod 7 19" 8.5 wheels all the way around. This are with the maxxis lips (to give the apperance of wider wheels). The problem I have here is that the upper ball joint (front A-Arm) bolt is rubbing the outter most area of my tire. I wish I had a camera to take that picture the last time I took my tires off. I had no idea and that was way to dangerous to be driving that way. I basically cut a 1/4 x 1/2 deep groove into my inside tire.
This all leads me to that fact that there is something else going on or atleast a few things at the same time.
1. The rims are not the right ones since they extend the 195 35 19" tire so that the ball joint bolt rubs them
2. The drop is two low and is causing #1 to happen. Not sure why since I went conservative on this.
3. I have the wrong combination of springs, shocks and spring pads for a CLK320 Cabrio 2000.
Any suggestions????

Not sure I get your answer. I think a conventional 8.5 wide wheel is fine (considering the offset is correct, which i know it is), but I feel the maxxis feature may be causing some type of strange extended lip inside as well. This is my problem. What is the right issue or is the wheel not the issue??
Why would the upper A-arm ball joint bolt be rubbing on my tire? This has me totally tripping out.

Sorry didnt get your reply... I dont know how many mils they are around, but the rims are 19 x 8 not 8.5 as I thought earlier. I called Axis wheels and he basically told me wrong size tire and the rims were not the correct offset for my year car. He said they would be fine for 2001 + models.
Bummer as I am back on the market for some nice wheels

From what I know, They do not recommend #1 pads for the front of a W208, so the dealer will tell you that they do not have #1 for the W208. The pads for the W210 are the same thing.
