Just Tinted / Blacked-out My Taillights

thanks guys...n yUp ..already in the process of lookn for a c/f one...found one on ebay but its AMG... 
...and the other blank c/f ones are ugly and only 2 screws..i def need 4 screws cuz that ****ll jus vibrate like crazy from my subs if its only 2 screws holdin down the plate...

What did you use? I just got some of the VS Nightshade tint and was going to give it a try. I have seen some people wet sand, spray spray spray and then clear clear. Then wet sand with 1000 grit and 1500. Then I see some have just cleaned and removed any wax and painted then clear coat.

thanks every1.....
the product is VHT Niteshades...took about 2 n half hrs to remove taillights, tint n clearcoat em n put em back in.....basically..jus covered up the white part with tape and then sprayed away....make sure u spray for at least a good foot away for each coating or else it bunches together and runs...n if it does...DO NOT use a paper towel...youll get mad lint (my initial mistakes)....i probably put about 10 layers all together even tho it says dont put more than 3 cuz the light might not shine thru lol.....but i tested it as i was doin it n the taillights are obviously still shinin thru...n i wanted it black...not like dark red....just let it try after each coat or tint.....after ur totally dun tintin....take off tape off the covered part and then clearcoat the whole taillight with a few coats....then just let dry and put ur tails bak in!...

first of all ..DIk....as ive stated in other threads earlier that all that AMG **** was there already wen i purchased the car....and its all guna b gone once i send my car in for its bodywork...im obviously not tryna pose ta ANYONe...every1 knows i have a 430
2nd of all...can i c ur car....u seem ta always hav smart comments bout ppls cars n mods....

Tails look clean. Not ricey, Clean.
When you put on the new badges paint them black too. Might look really good. I have a white benz with black badges. It came out pretty nice. I think.
Exhaust looks mean.
Ill have to stop by this area more often.

F**ken sick, as we say in cali totaly nar-nar! I so want to do it just don't know if it'll flow with mine. Had a totaly blacked out volvo and loved it. As for the jerkoffs how gives a **** what they say as long as you like it cause its your ride!

yo i jus responded on benzworld....i guess ill b down ta do it but jus know that it isnt like a perfect professional job that i did....if u look closely the edges aint perfect n all but still looks good in general...up ta u...ill take more up close pics and higher resolution pics if u want......and im sure ill b able ta do it better the 2nd time around...let me know

Nice Hersh! Matte black badging is def an idea tho. Or just go 'naked' on the trunk.
I feel you on the AMG badges. Mine came with a AMG on the rightside of the trunk but I haven't taken it off. Still deciding if I'm going to take it off or not. Don't really care what ANYBODY thinks if I'm rollin a 430 and just happens to have a AMG badge on it that I'm not responsible for mounting. But you're previous owner looks like he went crazy! AMG sticker in the window, license plate frame, trunk badging in addition to the '55'.
