Thinking about selling my 2000 430 cabriolet
I have a 2000 CLK-430 Convertible that has 42K miles. It is black with black interior and a black top. The tires have about 8K miles on them which are the Pilot sport. The car does not have navigation nor the heated seats. It is in excellent condition and am curious as to what I could get.

I paid 33K for it two years ago and spend $1400 on new tires all the way around 6 months ago. If I could get 26K or so I would consider selling but just cant take a 13K hit on depreciation. I love the car but little things have been going wrong as the car was stuck in park and it was $450 for the tow and a bad computer chip to fix, then the side mirror stopped working $350, then a week later the power seat stopped working $300. I love the car but think as it gets older I would be better off with a lexus or infinity used as this car kills me in all the little things going wrong.

Extended Warranty
I have a Designo Blue and had the Nav put in by Steve. When I bought the car it was still under warranty. I personally feel safest having a warrenty with these cars. You can still enjoy it with some piece of mind. Also helps if and when you want to sell.

I believe the European COMAND unit was $1,600 installed (including the AUX plug in the glovebox - IPOD/MP3). Kind of neat watching Steve and company do the job. It took about 45 minutes and I was out of there. It took longer to drive from San Diego to Huntington Beach. I later had Steve replace the unit (for free) cause it started taking a long time to figure out where it was. I only wish they hadn't stopped installing the TV tuner...it's why I really wanted the European version - oh well.
