F**k!!!!

Some f***ing ***** in a Honda Accord slammed into me today, trashing my Remus Exhaust, severely pushing in the steel in the rear left quarter, and destroying my taillights. It hit so hard that my interior dome filament broke. Luckily no air bag deployment though. I think my frame is fine but am so upset that I don't even want the f***ing car anymore. The possibility of latent problems from the crash such as transmission problems, busted motor mounts, cracked catalytic convertors, etc makes me sick. The truck floor pan is buckled and the bumper is splintered with the impact material crushed. Am hoping they total it out so I can get a double nickel.

I need some serious alcohol or drugs right now!

Damn man, sorry to hear that. Jagermeister tends to make me forget a little from time to time. Maybe try some of that.

That sucks. I know how you feel. When I had my 00 clk, some drunk guy ran into me pushing me into the car in front of me. the rear was gone, the driver side quarter panel was buckled up. My head unit was on the backseat, I had to kick the driver door to open it. It was about 2 weeks after I had put on my eisenmann exhaust. Trans started leaking, busted my brake lines.

Ouch, did they total it out? Not sure what is going to happen in my circumstances. The other's driver's insurers are going to look at the car early next week. My guess is that they may try to repair the car, although I think the repairs will run in excess of 10K (will be in the shop for >30 days!) and the car's value is around 14-15K.

Yeah, mine was tottalled. It had 14k in just body damage. they said that no matter what, the car will not be straight again since it was a convertible. They said it would be best if they tottalled it. Thats what I wanted anyways, because there was no way I was gonna drive that car again.

Exactly. Forget the car, you can always replace it.

You speak the truth! I'm also considering an E-55 as the used market for those has come down in price quite a bit. Its also easier to convince the Mrs. since it is a four door and can haul kids in the future :-)

Just got the quote and they couldn't finish it as it has to get put on the jig to straighten the rear components of the frame before they can complete the estimate, looking at north of $8K right now!

If it's not much Bearden post some pics of how bad it really is...maybe we can save you a couple of (in this case) thousands of dollars maybe?

If you can't it's coo, just wanted to see how bad it really got damaged and worth fixing yourself....unless the frame got hit....

I don't have pics but coincidentally, it looks very, very similar to the rear of this CLK that is wrecked and for sale on eBay.....
