She in the shop ready for the new kit....
Ok, so FINALLY my body shop recieved the kit that I got off EBAY. UPS lost it, so it took over a week longer to get it, I was supposed to get it on the 30th of October, but its here, and i dropped the car off at the shop this afternoon.
Now this is the kit that was brought up by I believe DropTop a few weeks back. Some said it was ricey, some hated it, but I like it. Overall the look of the kit is nice, but the quality is what you pay for. The lines aren't all that even, i.e. the exhaust cut out, the molding lines-some are deeper and other parts fade away. So needless to say I'm anxious and nervous at the same time. I'm not sure how long it will take my guy to do his work, hopefully no more than a week. Even though he did say today that it'll take some time. But all in all, I would much rather have him make it look nice instead of just painting it and slapping the kit on. The body shop does mainly work on custom low riders, that are custom painted all around including murals. So I know my car is in good hands.
So as soon as I get her out I will post pics and let everyone see, and then a true opinion can be given on the kit, and not just what you see on ebay.
p.s. i've attached a pic of the front bumper to give you an idea.

I will for sure. I'm going to go down to the shop on Thursday just to see the progress. I'm nervous though, cuz already today is only the second day and each day he's called me with something new. Today it was the foglights and the side markers don't match up with the new kit. The holes on the new kit are too small. So he's just going to fill in the side markers and get rid of them completely since mine I painted black, and obviously make the holes bigger so the fog lights will fit. So I think by the time its all said and done, the original kit I got is going to look a bit different.
So we'll see soon enough!

Yeah good luck DA! Hope it turns out well for yah.
I'm sure the body shop will get it done right, you'll definately notice if they half-a$$ed it or not, but I doubt they'd do that at a lowrider shop, there very precise at what they do.
That front bumper doesn't really look rice at all to me, looks more aggressive if you look at it some more, but I have yet to see the rest of the kit, so we'll see.

Update....
So I went to the shop to check the progress on the install and well I was shown some stuff that wasn't nice.
1.The rear bumper: He had to add brackets and fiberglass them in just so the bumper would fit onto the reinforcer. When the rear is on, both sides stick out AWAY from the car about 6 inches. So he's going to cut them off, do some fiberglass work just to make it fit the shape of the car.
2. The front bumper: For the most part it fit on the car pretty good, minus....the part that fits around the lights had to be extended. Where the hood closes, the line on the bumper isn't straight, so he has to cut and fiberglass there. And ofcourse the fog light holes are about 1/2 inch too small, and the side marker holes are about 2 inches too small.
There's a few more small things here and there, but SO FAR those are the majors. The rear is the worst. But he's going to hopefully get all he needs to do to fix it, done tomorrow. Needless to say by the time it's all done, I will probably have been able to just buy a Lorinzer kit, but too late now. One of a kind right....

I believe I am just going to glass my own kit after seeing nearly nothing fitting correctly. Seems the easiest way is to simply mold the factory parts and mod from there.
Hope this all comes out well! Looking forward to it!

Another Update...
Ok so now all the hard stuff is done with re-molding the kit, all thats left is to finish the prep work and then off to paint. The kit was very chincy, basically it was just a template to mold a whole new kit. But all the hard stuff is done, and I should have my car back the begining of next week...YAY!!!! So the next time I update you all, it should be with pics...FINALLY!!!!
I'm more than likely going to be selling the side skirts and the rear bumper. What I'll have the body shop do, is fix the small crack on the bumper and then prep that and the side skirts and have them ready for someone to paint them. So if anyone is interested let me know and I'll have a price after I talk to the shop.

Hopefully if someone else decides to get this kit, they read this thread and ask me about how it worked, because for any future reference, its not worth it, atleast not that I've seen!
Soon guys, very soon!
