How to get wheel off?

How to get wheel off?
I'm in the process of putting on winter tires/rims on my 2006 CLK350 and I had the car jacked up and the lug nuts off but the wheel will not come off? Anyone have any experience here, thanks.

Don't have your car but in the past when that type of thing happens my experience has been that the brake dust (rust too if it is old enough)has "cemented" the parts together. So what I did was hit the rim inside and outside all around with a RUBBER mallet. What I was trying to do was break the seal. Good luck.. I’m sure you will get others to join in with there experiences.

so I have spent many trips watching my tires being changed. It's almost always a given the wheel will stick a little. You can either kick the corners of the tire to break it loose or you can grab it from the back on each side and try to wiggle it free from the rotor assembly.

I watched a AAA guy do:
1) Loosen a few bolts/nuts
2) Lowered the car
3) Raised it back up
That was it - it was my friend's car and we had tried kicking the living sh!* out of it.

Well then you could try the suggestion Holson just made, but the wheel does come off after kicking it a few if not a bunch, it's not gonna be stuck on there forever now...
When my tires were being changed, all came right off except the front passenger tire, kept kicking it, then got to the point where the rubber mallet was used then kicked the tire from the inside a bit, spin the wheel, kick, spin, kick. and Vola.

Well I'm glad that the wheel came off for you that time, I was asking a question along the lines if it didnt come-off while trying to kick it or using a rubber mallet. My suggestion in post #3 was aimed at this type of a problem.
Mr. Jury thinks that is a bad idea, then he did not spend enough time at those tire shops to witness things like that.
If his so called tire shop actually cared for him then they would apply antiseize lube to the mating surface of the rim and the hub and he would never have that problem again.

PS
Invest in a floor jack and a torque wrench with sleeves to protect the interior part of the wheel where the lug nut rests. Rubber mallet work for me, too.
