I went to visit the stereo shop earlier this morning, as I wanted to see the progress made on my car. Overall, I was very happy to see all the work Cellular Universe & Car Tunes has done in this very short amount of time. That crazy-a$$ port just looks so sick! The custom , sealed enclosures for the rear speakers is just awesome. If they spend this much detail on small things, I can't wait to see the final product!!!!

They will start fiberglassing later today. I'll be posting up pics each week when I visit the shop =)

those rear deck speakers look great, is that a custom kick panel they are in made to fit the OEM slot on the deck? or does it come like that and fits into the OEM slot or had the rear deck been fabricated to fit that shape?

 

they are actually custom built enclosures to drop right in the place of the stock speakers in the rear.

if you guys didn't know already, our CLK's come with down-firing woofers on the rear deck. When you take them out, you can either make a template, and custom fit 6.5" components, or you can make custom enclosures, like what my installer did for me. I believe that with these sealed enclosures, I will get more mid-bass and more sound from the speakers.....which I really will need with those 3 JL 10W6V2's in the trunk!
