Finally got my car lowered...(Real pics this time)
I used H&R springs and left the #3 spring pad in the rear and changed the front #4 to a #2. It seems to sit pretty level now.
I am running 19x8.5 in the front with 235x35 and 19x9.5 in the rear with 275x30. I have had no rubbing with either the front or rear tires.
Not the best pictures, but it was getting dark.

Happy owner of '98 CLK 320
very nice look.
For once I actually see the value of black wheels.
Very good balance in the grill, wheels and tint compared to the rest of the car.

Looks good. I have the same wheel setup with no rubbing problems also, but your car looks a bit lower than mine. Something to keep in mind if I want to change from my Eibachs to something different.

sweet. That's next on my list. Not sure I'll drop it that far, mine is a commuter but.. I do need a lot less 4x4 clearance.
And Angel, geez your car is hawt! Sometimes I think I should have gone with the black.

Thank you! I love black cars, minus the constant detailing that you have to keep up on! My car is also a commuter and my drop is simmilar to boosted's drop and I'm running the same wheel set up as him.

ya know that's a good question! I lucked out and bought the car like this, although I wish I would have done it myself that I way I know what was done to the car! Is it easy to tell what kind of pads are on there?

The pads have little bumps on them indicating what number they are. I should have taken a picture. It would be hard to see them without taking the spring and pad out.

Looks cool. You still have a lot of room on those rear fenders...you may want to try a 15mm spacer to kick out the wheel and make it look just a little more aggressive...but if that's not your thing than you're fine as is.
