In the market for a CLK, heres what I've found...
I am in the market for a car, and I came across this car. I always liked this body style benz, but never knew much about them. I am here to ask you guys to give me as much information you can about them.
All the details are in this link.

Is the price right?
Is the mileage too high?
Any known problems for this class?
Why is there an AMG emblem on the trunk, but not the gauge bezel?
Thanks guys, I tried to do a search, but I got lost in the gallery...some beautiful cars you guys(and ladies?) Have.
heres what I have currently:

great truck, but I am looking for a change

So how many miles does your have Boosted9603 if you dont mind me asking?
I am just weary of MB parts for aged vehicles...are they expensive to maintain like BMW's?
I am looking for a clean dependalbe daily driver....
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
I had mine for almost 2 years now. except for oil change, never been to the mechanic. it is not my daily ride until last 4 month when I sold my second car.

The parts are about average, but the labor at the dealership seems to be high like a BMW. I had a E36 325is and bought it around 100k miles and sold it with 170k miles. It ran perfectly still and I never had to do anything to it besides spark plugs, oil, filter, and just basic tuneup stuff. So, from my experience I would say BMW's are cheap.
Luckily, I never had too many problems with it. The first year I had it, I had to replace my catalyic converters, the year after that, I had to replaced my CPS & rewire my electrical wires in my tailights, and just a few months ago, I had to replace a motor mount. Other than that, the rest has been maintenance; oil, filters, brakes, tires, etc...
However, I will be selling my car sometime this year.

The AMG emblem is not supposed to be there, someone just put it on. The car has an amg body kit and wheels and that's about it for AMG.
As for the main problems, this is all I can think of;
The camshaft position sensor is known to fail, but it's a cheap part and a simple DIY.
Pixels in the cluster will usually burn out.
Passenger seat will sometimes be in lock position and the seat won't move forward or backwards, usually it's a fuse that will solve the problem.
Cataylic converters might have to be replaced.
MAF is very common to fail.
It's my daily driver, about 80 miles per day commuting. Solid. Worry free. Nice, comfy, quick, (and chics seem to dig the interior... who knew).
Price varies by market quite a bit, and I'm no expert on price.. I often pay a little more than I should just to deal with people I like. So be it. More money can always be printed.. uh.. made.
Rack and Pinion steering on the W209. Recirculating ball on the W208.
Double wishbone front suspension on the W208. MacPherson struts on the W209.
Five liter M113 V8 on the W209. Four point three liter M113 V8 on the W208.
The W208 weighs 3365 pounds (V8 coupe). The W209 weighs 3720 pounds (V8 coupe).
The W208 stops from 80 MPH in 211 feet. The W209 takes 228 feet (it’s the weight).
The V8 W209 is a faster car. The W208 isn't.
I've added a W209 section to my website. Just scroll down on the left and you can see the differences there.
