Pioneer AVIC-D1 for my w208 clk

Hey guys, i just found a slightly used Pioneer AVIC-D1. its the double din in dash gps navigation with cd/mp3 eetc etc playback and all that crap. I wanted to know from you guys who have aftermarket radios installed, you guys think this will fit my 01 clk 320? the units height is 4 inches, width is about 7 inches and the depth is around 6 1/2 inches. I called up crutchfield as well, they dont sell the installation kit for my car nor the wiring harness. You guys know where to get them? Any help is appreciated. thanks.

I believe a few people have this in their car and really enjoy it - do a search and you should get plenty of hits about it

I work at best buy like one day a week so I can get a discount there HAHA. They just got in the new AVIC-Z2 with the built in 30 gb hard drive I think I'm going to look into putting that in because the factory navi is not the best and I hate not being able to control and charge ipod with the aux port . Next time I work I'm going to see if they put it on display yet and what I can get it for.

I bought a D3 at Al & Eds Autosound here is SoCal for like 650 out the door.

It is a nice deck, especially for the price.

it has only one slot for the discs. So does that mean if you want to watch the dvds you have to take out the maps dvd?

watch the video it says thats the big negative that it only has one slot but if you set a destination it can remember it then you can take disc out but to set a new destination you need to put the disc back in.

thats so gay, but i just bought the D2 for 400. I didnt wanna spend a fortune on a radio/nav. I guess its ok with me. As long as everything works the way its suppose to. I will probably need the wiring harness, where can i find it? crutchfield doesnt sell anything.

Questions about D3

I just got the D3, the Bluetooth, back up camera, and iPod adapter for a nice price. I just want to know about the installation process. Can any of you that already have in installed post pics? Did you do it yourself or get it custom?

Thanks,
