Recaro seats installed!
I had bought some Recaro rails/sliders a while ago off of Ebay and have been patient waiting for a good deal on a set of Recaro's and yesterday was my lucky day. I managed to pick up a set of Recaros out of a EVO IX MR limited edition, they are black leather with alcantera down the center, red stitching and a red Recaro logo.
As with installing any seat that is not generic, you run the risk of them not fitting or requiring modification, well these fell into that catagory. The EVO must not have a level floor pan, as there were 1cm spacers welded to one side of the seat frame, plus, the bolt holes did not align with my brackets, one was off my a few milimeters, easy fix though. Same with the spacers, I added 1cm of stainless steel washers to level out the other side.
The seats fit perfect and the female part of the seat belt transferred over perfect and is hooked up, although there is no longer a pressure sensor for the passenger side airbag, does anyone know if the airbag now will always be turned on or always be turned off?
I don't have pictures on my web site yet, as I still have the drivers side to do, but here are some teaser pic's.

That arm rest looks like a custom burled walnut piece. There are custom steering wheels, door pieces, and a rear ashtray available in wood. 2Phast, are you a burl-meister? If so, any idea where one could pick up a bird's eye maple armrest?

My steering wheel has burl, the door handles have burl covers, plus a burl piece on the rear ashtray. The armrest burl is made by Schatz.
I have already replaced all of the center console wood, so the armrest piece does not match any more (faded)
Most everything is on my site www.clk32k.com except for the seat install, doing that now.

Yes, I have fianally restored the CLK to its former glory, what a PITA, but now everything is put back together (correctly) all non functional items are working and all the half *** crap that was done, has now been undone.
These Recaros are manual, no electronics. Seat belts have been attached to the factory harness, only thing that is still unknown is the airbag seat sensor, which is no longer in the car, so either the passenger side air bag will always be off or it will always be off, not sure yet, will need to look into it.

How does that Kleeman help with the 320? Does you car feel fast and drive fast? Do you feel confident in a race should a race be something you happen to get yourself into unsuspectingly? Let me know because I've always been curious about how well that Kleeman set up works on the 320. I hear it takes you to the CLK55 power range but I have never tried or ever had the ability to compare the two.

I have driven CLK55's, C32's and SLK32's, this car feels faster. RWHP is around 285, but these are dyno numbers from the previous owner. So I won't know till I get it on the dyno, boost is upped from .5 bar to .6 bar with the 70mm SC pully. I have also fixed some other issues with the car that was causing it to run poorly. The 3.27:1 rear diff helps in the 0-60 times as well.
The floor mats are OE Mercedes W208 rubber mats.

Back to your burl interior pieces so these parts are actual replacements not overlays. I seen somebody with carbon fiber interior trim pieces and was interested in getting some pieces for my car.

The arm rest has a burl cover on it, so does the door pull handles, these pieces never had burl before, so of course you can't consider them replacements. I have installed nothing over the orginal burl pieces, I have replaced all three of the center console burl pieces (ash tray, shifter plate and drink holder) with factory MB burl pieces.

Lorinser makes a CF kit for a couple thousand...yes thousand. Most of the members that you see posted though wrapped their own CF. Very tricky and potentially expensive.![EEK!](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif)
This is the other alternative I just found but I havent called to find out the price tag.

If anyone knows the price information please let me know.
