Top Speed
Wanted to make a thread to see how ballsy the forum members are and what your top speeds are. Lets be realistic, some of these stories in the killers stories forum are just NOT so...
And no Im not a cop
Here are mine
140 On the SI-running from the police at 2 in the morning with the lights off down I-5. Im sure it was a little faster than that since 140 was the last speed on the cluster and the arrow had completely dropped past it.
168 On the Suzuki GSXR
138 On the 95 CL 500

i dont know where you are from...but i am from nyc and more than a 100 is almost impossible on these roads but i managed to do 130+ on my gsxr 1000 many times. 120+ on my CLK only once lol i dont abuse my cars. I dont have a bike anymore and like i said i dont abuse my cars so i usually dont speed anymore. Plus cops are *******s in nyc anyway.

Fastest I've hit on the speedo is 110mph. Haven't topped it out yet.

well i got to 240km/hr like every Saturday or Sunday in the usual days max of 160 km/h 180 km/h ... 
i am a speed freak only when i am alone... the max top speed i was in is in a Ferrari modena spider was 320km/h, but i wish i was driving... the police are LAZY in Lebanon ...

I know you won't believe this but I have gone over 190 mph 5 times in my old corvette it had an LS1 with 200 shot of nitrous. I have witnesses I did it on Rt13 in levittown pa it has a five mile strech with very slight turns.

I've done 121+MPH a few times now:
But Sunday, my buddy and I were on our way back to Columbus from Dayton, and I had to show off a little bit. I punched down an open stretch, looked over at him and asked, "have you ever been over 125?" He said, "no", and I replied "you have now!" I only got to 126 or 127MPH, but thats the best I've done so far.
I love the response of my 500! It hits triple digits within a matter of seconds! I can hit 120+ and be back down to a reasonable speed in less than a mile. So I can show off a bit, without attracting too much attention.
I plan on going to a 1/4mi drag track in a couple weeks, and a 2mi road course in July. I hope to have some good numbers then. I wish there was a Top Speed track around here, though.

Hell ya! Thats what im about. Yeah its your car and you have to be sweet with it but if your buying a car with all that power and not putting it to use, why buy it? Just like bikes, its funny to me how I run into guys that ride bikes but have never even hit 100. Im a speed freak, especially for you bike riders you know its really hard to keep a steady 60 mph on the freeway

Yeah there was 3 of us. Me on the si, my buddy on his wrx and another friend on a m3. Coming back from seattle at 90 on the cruise control, we came around a corner and he was just sitting there on the shoulder between some bushes and and right when my headlights hit him, he flashed and when I went for the brakes I heard the wrx gun it couple a couple times, heard him downshift and knew it was on. Of course i was behind the subaru and bimmer the whole way but we lost him. Quite an adrenaline rush

I've been up to 125 mph the night I bought the car on I-5 on my way back to Portland from Seattle.
Hitneed- You live near Portland right? What part of I-5 were you on, I can see you reaching that speed around here.

I was actually on my way down from seattle as well. It was somewhere around lonview or woodland area, its all pretty straight from vancouver up to seattle so I usually smash the whole way up there
