Actaully yes I have looked myself. For a while now actually.
Ebay is full of scams I try to stay away from them, Ive been burned 3 times on engines on there.
I did look I found a few engines a couple you found I've seen.
I guess I will rephrase the question. Does anyone know where to find an engine for this car other than ebay, say salvage yard forum members ect.

It's cool, I understand where you are comming from alot of people dont want to help themselves.
My problem is If I search for clk 430 engines it doesnt bring up many, I know this 4.3 engine is in a good bit of mercedes models, I just don't know which ones.

The 430 in this thread may be the engine from ProjectC55's C43 AMG. If so, it has 79K on it, & I believe it's within your budget. For the C43, AMG used different cams and massaged the exhaust ports. Another option would be to use a 5 liter M113.
