MBCA Show & Shine today
Good turn out, many W124's, W202's and W208's. Normally these type of shows are concours events, so if you show up in a modifed car, your chances at placing are slim, guess I bucked the odds today, as I did manage to place 3rd in the late model class. I spent a good 6 hours yesterday installing my newly acquired carbon fiber hood, although its still not perfect, definately not a "bolt on and go" item.

congrats 2fast, did you buy your car from ted....if i remember correctly, he had a car just like yours with the LV print on the seats...anyways...great looking car!

There is a 30lb weight difference between the CF and the stock hood.

What seats did you go with and is this an actual weighed difference or a guesstimate?

Seats are Recaro's from a EVO IX MR. Weight is 33lbs each, stock seats weighed in at 76lbs each, so that would be 86lbs weight savings. I weighed the seats using a kilogram scale and my conversion to pounds was off a bit.
VIS CF hood weighed in at 15lbs and the stock hood at 42lbs, so a savings of 27lbs.
