springs without shocks?

Will it cause a problem if I lower my car by replacing the springs but keeping the stock shocks? From reading other posts it seems like H&R springs are the way to go. I was originally going to go with Eibach. Also, should I get the car alligned after I lower it?
Any info is appreciated. Thanks in advance for your time.

You don't have to replace the shocks, but it is recomended, because the original ones will eventually give up to the additional pressure of being compressed all the time.
I have H&R springs and Koni sport shocks.

Thanks for the reply post. Anyone have any recommendations on where to get springs and shocks? I've been searching online for good prices.
Thanks.

By the way, here is my CLK430. Right now it is completely stock, but not for long!! It has the K3 and K4 packages plus navigation and AMG wheels.

The CLK in white is really cool, it's sad that few people choose this color.

no no, its good that no one gets white, that way i dont see them on the road

thats why i got white, because when i got my car, i had not seen a white one on the road while i saw silver and black every day....

white is a great color for the CLK IMO....
