Another user needing the instructions please. I realize this post seems suspicious as I registered just now (i searched google for "2004 clk 320 locked keys in trunk" and this thread showed up.) Not my car, my girlfriends, but you can find my posts (edrock200) on e46fanatics.com or tivocommunity.com as well. If you need other validation please PM me and I'll give you my phone #.

Here's the main part:
Usually you have to take the car to MB or call roadside. This procedure (according to roadside from Alexandria Mercedes) is NOT free. It cost me. Anyhow- I watched the tech and this is what he did below:
Just get the doors open then open the fuse console that is along the drivers door on the outside of your dashboard- the door closes on it. Pull out the 4 fuses on the left (7.5 and 5 amps) and then wait a few secs- put them back in and see if the door unlock switch works. If it does- the security system is deactivated and you can use the trunk release to open the trunk. Tech said that if those fuses don't work- pull 4 at a time till you get to the right ones. I tried it in my ml and it worked as well.
TECH MENTIONED THIS WILL WORK FOR ALL NEWER MODELS.

procedure for locked key in trunk !
Hi guys, after not find any help on net I find this way by myself. Here it is:
This procedure is for CLK W209 2003-2005 (maybe up to 2009)
1. spread windows (front and rear) with screwdriver.
2. put between windows long metal hard wire with hook so You can open the door via inside handle.
3. Go on back and open the cover of bass speaker, it is behind left head.
4. remove the speaker, it is hold only on plastic stops
5. in holes below speaker You can find line that goes from lever in trunk to back seat holder which unfold seat.
6. pull the wire hard so You can open and fold the back seat.
7. Voala, take the key from the trunk !!!
I hope I helped someone, because I loose a lot of time to find this way by myself !!!

Hi Guys, took my battery out of my CLK430 to jump my excavator on a worksite. Worked a treat. Put the battery on charge for a couple of days as it had been sitting for a while.
Found the boot would not open and the key would not work in the hole. Did not go all the way in so after reading the MB forums used WD 40 and tried to flush the lock. this did not work after hours of trying, and be careful that key can bend really easily. Test it by putting it in a door key hole to make sure it is straight( it should slide straight in).
Was going to put some jumper leads on the + terminal of the starter motor to power the system. I could not guarantee the +battery cable in the boot was not touching the chassis.
One of the posts mentioned the first aid box on the rear parcel shelf to access the boot and it worked( thank you to that post).
Remove the kit and proceed to remove the tray base . I used a blade screwdriver along the edges to free it. there is one circular plug in the middle of the tray. This has a plastic pin trough the centre of it that can be pushed through with a similar diameter item.
Lift the tray out and it will reveal a foam rubber insulation. there are three holes, one in the centre and another on each side. look in either side holes and you will see a black tube about 3-4mm thick(plastic coated metal) . grab this with your hand or pliers.
push toward the rear window and it will release the seat lock so you can access the boot. The boot floor that covers the spare wheel and battery can be lifted out by turning side on and removed through the car.
I was able to put the battery in the boot by going through the car.
If you are not strong enough use jumper leads to reach the terminals so you have power to the car so you can pop the boot(trunk).
The only problem I have now is my windows won't close fully and have abs warning lights on.
At least the car works?

Hi Hass,
Hopefully the rest of the car is unlocked and you can access the boot as per the above instructions.
The only other option I would have is to call a locksmith or MB specialist or dealer to unlock the car for you.
Good luck with it all.

The options I know of to get into the boot trunk:
1 Remove the fuses at the drivers side panel to re-set the alarm.
2 Lift first aid box and use a wire to hook keys.
3 Push in the plastic panel behind arm rest, theres only 2 weak screws hold it at the rear.
4 Remove seat base and then remove seat back bolts at bottom, you can then pull the seat back away slightly to see into the trunk.
5 Remove a speaker.
Theres lots of options, that should get you in and only takes a few mins to do !

I myself have done this, it is very easy to do as you can unlock your trunk seperately with the keyfob leaving your doors locked.
I did this with some shopping, my hands were full so unlocked the trunk by holding the keyfob, keys fell into one of the bags, I then shut the trunk and with the doors unlocked the fun then began.
It was snowing at the time and dark.!

Locked my keys in my trunk two days ago I just paid for it to run please help
Good afternoon,
My neighbour managed to lock his only set of keys in his boot this morning as he only used the button to pop the boot wich doesn't unlock the car then shut the boot with the keys still in there.
Within 5 mins or less we gained access to his car wich gave us access to his boot wich gave us access to his keys.
Would it be irresponsible for me to tell you guys how easy it is ? The only reason i ask is i would like to give something back to this community so if you dont mind i would like to tell you how we did it or should i just keep it to myslef.
forums admin....Please let me know if it's ok to post the details (I dont want to get banned from this forum as it is a goldmine when it comes to knowledge)
