I believe one other person has done it with extensive modification but the question is why would you want to?

Im the one who put 20's on CLK..basicly if you want to lower your car like mine, you have to flare the fender and you have to find a perfect offsets for the rims. but if you jsut want to change the springs is fine too. Not a problem at all..the clearence is fine for just Sport springs( whithout cutting the coils). but I suggest that 19 is fine for CLK thats MAX 20's too much problem..trust me I have all the experience with 18,19 to 20's rims..

18's

Which tire and size would you guyz/galz recommend for 18x8.5 & 18x9.5 wheels. I'm looking for a widebody look?

For 18's u can use 225-40 and the rear 245-35.

245 is a bit narrow and the rolling diameter will be off even if you get it to fit a 9.5 inch rim. you have options:

225/40/18 front with 255/35/18 rear or
235/40/18 front with 265/35/18 rear

both of these setups are very good

No, your front tires will probably tear the fenders.

Ok how about 255 - 35 - 18's front and 265 - 35 - 18's rear
without fender work

Does anyone have this setup?

You should think about having the same diameter tires on the front and rear. 255/35R18 and 265/35R18 are not the same diameter.

The same diameter will let the ESP, ABS, etc. work better.

275 on the back is not a problem, depending on your offset. 235 on the front is easy too. 245 can work with the proper offset, but it may stick out too much.

no u dont need to modify the fender at all..u should find a perfect offset...for 20's on CLK. I recomend that using 20x8 and 20x9 at rear or 20x9.5. remember use 245-35/20 SP 9000 they are the best tires..P Zero are too thick.

You should try out these calculators to help you with tire size and offsets.

I need to ask for confimation because i want to put 20" wheels on my CLK. Can I install 20's without modifying my fenders? You suggested I go with 20x8f and 20x9 rear. It's hard to find 20x8 in wheels I like . Do you think 20x8.5f will work? Which size tires will work with 20x8.5f and 20x9.5 rear?

CLK320 & CLK55
Talking clk's with 20's

you can absolutely fit 20" rims on a clk without any major adjustments. i am currently running 20x8.5 front & rears on my clk320 & tire size of 225/35/20 on both. However, i would recommend finding the proper offsets not just tossing any rim you like on em cuz the bolt patterns fit. i have Velocity V710 sport rims on mine currently. i just got 20x9 fronts & 20x9.5 rears for it though & i only have to roll the fenders. will run 255/30 in front & 275/25 or 285/25 in rear if i can find the tires, lol. good luck!
