rear headrests in cabriolet

does anyone know how to get the back seat headrests to go back down if they are stuck in the upright position. is this associated to the roll bar?

Try resetting them. Hold the button in the up position for about 8 seconds. If that doesn't work there may be something else wrong. I just recently had to replace the relay switch on mine. Here is the link from when I had to fix mine. https://mbworld.org/forums/clk-class...-problems.html

I know this is an old thread so I'm hoping for an answer. Missinlinc posted a link to repair the rear headrests that are stuck up on a CLK 320 convertible. I tried to click the link he posted but it did not load anything. If you could repost that link it would be much appreciated!

To do it manually there is a small notch on a spring plate that you can depress with a long slender metal rod located about 8" down on the right side of the headrest (when you're in back seat facing the trunk). You''ll feel it because it will give-way about 1/2" like a spring-board lever ... pressing down will cause the headrest will go down. I found it by shining a flashlight down in the space because I had extra room due to the 6 bolts holding the back-rest directly behind the headrests had been removed.
