Question?

Hey guys feel kinda stupid asking this and really sorry to start a whole thread for this question but i really wanted to no. For the best take off from my 99 clk 430 is it best to put in first gear and then hit the gas or to keep it just in D and then hit the gas? Thanks in advance

i guess it really depends on what you're goal is. a lot of people usually just leave it on D simply because it "shifts" faster on it's own compared to manually shifting it yourself. Try putting it on "S" and turn off the traction button.

Cool

Summer = 1st gear start from a dig.
Winter = 2nd gear start from a dig.

And is there a difference in power between the 98-99 430 and the 00-02 430? Or is it the same hp?
