K&N filters on CLK320

Someone here concluded the engine is so well-tuned that K&N filters are not needed or even degrade the performance.

What's your experience and conclusion?

This person you speak of may have only swapped the stock air filter for a K&N one.
Since I changed the entire air intake box with a K&N kit I recognize a noticable improvement in throttle response and acceleration especially over 4000 rpms.

You might want to consider BMC Filters! I have them on my C32 and I am happy with it.

That Brabus spoiler looks awesome, it's a shame they don't do it for the CLK430.

How much was the air intake box? What HP gains do they claim?

Thanks.
