Has anyone had chrome wheel arches added to their beloved W208s?
Just wondering if anyone here had chrome wheel arches added to their beloved W208s? I had them added to my W107 convertible years ago and they looked great. I'm not sure how they would look on the W208. If anyone has done it, could you post a pic or two?

I had a 2001 CLK430 and I just can't picture those chrome strips making the car look better. I think it would breakup the lines of an already great looking car...I'd say take a pass on them.

Chrome (particularly additional chrome) is tacky. It's the automotive equivalent of women adding applique's to their vests and mom jeans. It brings memories of the chrome edge protectors shoved in every crack and curb feelers. I'm curious as to how anyone can think a cheap piece of shiny metal tacked on to a car makes it look better, but to each his own I suppose.

Gorgeous W111! Older classic cars that came with a lot of chrome from the factory are the exception. This chrome was not an add-on to add "more shiney"; it was a part of the design aesthetic and well implemented into the car.

SoCalW11w123, it does look great on your 300 series. Like i said, the chrome arches also looked brilliant on the 350SL. It's pretty obvious that it won't look any good on W208s, as I've not seen any at all. Anyway, I'm totally happy with my /////AMG as it is. It was just a thought
