It should, but you may have to adjust the hangers. Are you looking for power or just sound?

you may want to measure the stock hole for the AMG tips...it is wider than your stock hole.

What makes you say that? It's an AMG, but it's still just an OEM muffler...

Totally!! I could have sent you my old magnaflow setup it you wanted. Also, check the muffler size, if its smaller than the one you're taking off it may not flow as much.

When I had my 325i convertible, the first mod I did was going to an M3 muffler.

That muffler will only fit on one car at a time(just kiddin") correct me if I am wrong Mel but you won't get any appreciable power gain with just a muffler. if you want to maximize gains from the exhaust you need to go with free flow metalic secondary cats like http://www.randomtechnology.com/contact.html then a race or sport muffler and resonator from somebody like SuperSprint, Eisenmann or the Magnaflow system like ghost was offering. I would buy ghost's setup but I ain't got the cheese. You will get a different sound with just a muffler but that's about it.

In my honest opinion, anything that helps to free up a restriction, whether it be on the intake or the exhaust is a plus. Besides, when a car sounds good its gotta be fast!!

CLK55 exhaust is pretty much a direct fit, get the W208 CLK55 unit, its about as free flowing as you can get and you can probably pick one up real cheap.

Again, I wouldn't say that, but that's just me. Out of the myriad of options when it comes to mufflers, both foreign and domestic, I wouldn't hang may hat on a factory muffler being the best even if it is from AMG...

Let me rephrase... I know for a fact the AMG muffler is not the best flowing, especially for the money!

You may be able to squeeze out 2-3 more HP out of another muffler but I can assure you it won't sound nearly as good as the AMG unit, and it will probably cost a lot (or be a cheaper weld in unit). As far as bolt on stuff goes its the best there is for the W208s, W210s, and later (W202s & W203s maybe diff story b/c C32 muffler is not free flowing).

They actually sound better, but again, that's just me. A new AMG muffler - $$$ and the usual way to get a used AMG muffler is from an owner that has replaced their's with something aftermarket.

So why pay money for a unit that has been replaced with a another unit that performs better? Wouldn't it be better to just go and get that unit? I'm jus sayin...

Maybe there should be a Sponsor Rating or Poll page. lol

Ghost still waiting for your price on your CAT to Resonator system. Looking at the First of March for your Headers. I can put down half if you want to get started.

Yeah, why do people change out their AMG performance parts to other aftermarket parts

Um...Duh~

Get a stainless magnaflow, weld on some AMG tips and call it a day. Free flowing and sound pretty nasty on a 4.3L. +/- $120.
