Which car would you prefer?
Which car would you rather have, a 2002 CLK55 AMG or a 2003 CLK500? I would vote for the 2002 CLK55 AMG simply because the W208 body style is more aggressive and it tells you that the AMG is an AMG. I also like the two-tone leather with the birdseye maple wood trim!

That is NOt a proper comparison. A better and more accurate comparison would be a 2002 clk 55 or a 2003 clk 55. Where someone wouldnt pick one over the car simply for the engine.

I'd say, pick the AMG over the CLK500. But then again, like many here has said, its an uneven comparison.
If comparing the W208 vs. W209 CLK55... that is a little tougher... but I think I might still stick with a W208 CLK55, its much more beefier and just has more 'presense'

Hands down, now if we where talking 2002 CLK55 Vers 2003 Clk55 I’d have to go with the 03. But I would put a body kit on it; it just looks a little too soft for my tastes.

02 CLK55 AMG absolutely!
They had a black on black one at the dealership when I bought my 99 CLK320, and I couldn't help thinking . . . if only I had twice as much money to spend on a car . . .

I would choose the W209......the W208 does not have many high-end wheel buyers anymore, but we are getting a lot of calls for W209s wanting HREs and the like. A W209 would suit my needs more than our current W208.
Plus, it's a newer style. W208 looks a bit dated to me. I still have my red one, though.
