That his car was probably eating up tires with the previous specs. Hopefully that kit can get you a few more thousand miles out of each set now!

funny u beat me to it.... only peeps who can get it close to specs is DEALER AND ITS A MUST. I LEARNED THE HARD WAY..every alignment i had from a regular shop to sport shop sucked AND made my front rub since they made my toe negative and dealer were only one to be able to make by an inch positive and i was not happy till i took mine at dealer and solved my prob.dunno whats your set up on pads and what not but im sittin on no pads at all. just waiting till i get 1 bolt from k mac and gonna post 3 diff alignments including dealer

let me give u an example..... i know my car is lowered more than yours william and i was at negative 4.5 b4 kmac was installed and i was chewing and eating tires every one month and half max. now everything is within spec but my front which is at negative 2.7 and im VERY HAPPY WITH THAT AND TIRES ARE LASTING FOREVER. def k mac has helped my tires and it brought my tires close to the fender. The dealer told me if i install the pad number 1 back on my front, they can do it at spec but i don't want to. I want it very low .

i got rid of my negative camber after installing the kmac but now i seem to have positive..i dono..maybe they went to far but the outside of my tires are really worn now instead of the inside.....maybe i should get a dealer alignment...mike, the dealer was willing to do the alignment even with ur car dropped that low ? and do they adjust the kmacs?

i went to hbl in tyson corner virginia and i spoke with the assistant service manager JIM OSBORN and i told him look my car is lowered and i have a camber kit and i need an alignment and I KNOW U CAN'T GET IT WITHIN SPECS BUT PLEASE TRY YOUR BEST.. he called LANCE AND THIS GUY IS a GENIUS. he said i need to lift it up and see what u got and came back and said car is done. good to go. showed him my other two alignments are laughed so hard and showed me his number. my dealer did. your prob is broken bushing.

Front MB Spec is Negative -1.16' to -0.36' Degrees
My Front Left is now Negative -2.41' and Right is Negative -2.54'
Your Front is sitting at Negative -2.7 which means they can do a little better unless your rim size/offset does not allow for it in relationship with your fender. I have a little room to play with with my front offsets being ET38 8.5j 20" Rim. My K-Mac is at the maximum setting to pull the camber in from the bottom so with this drop the best you are going to get is a Negative 2.4. The only way to further reduce negative camber is to increase the height by which by default will reduce negative camber by i.e. running a thicker spring pad, go back to stock spring size, or the expensive route of having the frame adjusted.

Lance from HBL, told me my front is at -2.7 is due to weight (engine wise ) and because its very low comparing to my rear since its light and it can be adjusted easily...
ps: u have the cup as well and i dont, i think that is why u were be able to get -2.54

These pictures should give you a visual of what my alignment specs look like after/now. Wish I had taken some before pictures of my front so you can see the major difference. Before my fronts literally looked like they were at a 45 degree angle and I was running through Pirelli Pzero Nero 225/30/20's every 6 months. I'm hoping the after specs will last me at least 1 year. I hope some find this data useful.

You know I had to do it. I had a good workout so my testosterone is flow'n good. and watched my friend warming up with 425 for the bench contest this week and my other friends prepare for a BodyBuilding show in August.
When I say low I'm looking at the space between the bottom arc of your fender with the top arc of your rim and compared it to mine. This is because though you have 19"s probably on 35 series tires, I have 20" on 30 series tires which means our total wheel/tire diameters are the same size. Also we both have 320s so our engine weight is the same, I think your rear is heavier because of the convertible aspect of your car. To measure the true height of your car you would have to take the measurement of the fender to the ground and not the bottom frame to the ground. Especially because we have different kits, those dimensions alone are different. With that said, to the car in relationship to camber our ride height should be the same so we should have the same camber numbers. I could be wrong but this is my rational. No pads only gives you less than an inch in drop about 0.8 to be exact. I have the H&R Sports Cup kit with that alone is a 1.9" drop and with #3 13mm pad give me an additional 0.5 bringing my front down to almost 2.5" inches. So even if you ran the H&R sport springs with no pad you would only be 0.3 lower than me which is boarder line measurable and again would prove that our camber numbers should be the same.
I'm not a car guy so please someone correct me if I'm wrong or if there is something that I'm not seeing or missing with this picture. If I'm wrong it sure sounded good though Please someone raise the Bull$~h!t Flag if applicable.

Both Cars are LOW! No need to worry about who's is LowER. Just know you both have very Nice clean silver CLK's that are admired by just about everyone you pass on the road. Are cars are designed that way. They look amazing when lowered on the right wheel and tire combo. and... The 98-02 CLK is a timeless body style and will always be admired as one of the best!!!!! IMO!

ok maybe i worded it wrong it could be the bolt gettin stripped... thought u had prob with wearing from outside and it could be bolt or bushing. only reason i say that because my front right is not moving outward or inward and dealer told me my bolt is stripped and they showed it me. bolt spun but nothin moved
