very very nice.... although i think a less 'reflective' tint will do better... more stealth like, but still great looking. congrats!

whats next on the list for mods? any upcoming performance mods?

Very nice. I saw you yesterday at UCI in the ICS area looking for parking. Didnt come to me until now that it was you coz I didnt know you got Lowenharts and I see you got your Lorinser bumper on. Your car's a real eye-turner.

I got my white parts just smoked (SL55 Style) for 180 for both taillights. They prime it and smoke the parts that you want, no clue how much for the whole unit. I just wanted the white smoked.

Very nice! Just my 0.02 cents you may want to blank out your license plate.

If you went with Jim @ Smoked Lamps.com, it's $180 for the entire thing. I asked him about tinting either just the white part or the entire thing. It's the same price because they spray the entire thing with clearcoat as a final stage.

Good stuff.... I just haven't had the time to drop it off.

Vik, can you post pics of the blackened signal part only? Thanks.

Thank you all for the compliments. I don't know what will be my next mod. But, for now, I think I will just leave it as is. I will not mod in engine. I am not a person who cares about how fast my car is, but I little care about the look. If I get any chance, I might put Lorinser rear bumper.

What I regret about my car is the rear trunk spoiler. I got that with Lorinser speedster, so I had to put them on. But, I should not have put that on. It doesn't look that good. I want to take it out but they drilled the holes. Any good solution to this consideration?

The only way is to take it to the body shop to cover the holes and paint it.

Or you can exchange the trunk with someone who wants the spoiler w/ same body color.

2000 CLK 430
Your Loenharts

Very nice ride indeed! I am new to the site so hopefully this is going to Blackbaby. I just purchased a 2000 CLK 430 coupe with the same wheels. (19" Lowenharts) By the looks of the picture they are the same anyway. One wheel was slightly tweaked and losing air so the dealer stepped up and had it repaired. But now, a month later, it will go completely flat for no reason. (Twice now, three weeks apart.) I have to admit, that it could be a tire problem, so I’m gonna get that checked, but it seems odd that it will hold air for two weeks or so and bam, just go flat. Have you had any problems like this with yours? Also, how comfortable do you feel at high speeds with the low-profile tires and wheels?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Jim

Exact same problem, exact same experience in last two months. The reason that your tire is leaking is because your rim is bent. You can't tell that by looking at the outside, but you will know it by looking at inside. I have repaired the rims twice. After you repair your rim, YOU MUST SEAL them. Otherwise, it will leak again and your tires will run flat again. I have done my wheels at Speedvision Motorsports in Glendale. I can e-mail you the number if you want. They charge $85 repair/installation/labor.. everything per rim. Good luck. and... you must drive very carefully with those thin tires.

Thanks for the quick response. The bad wheel was bent when I bought the car (the dealer failed to notice) They had it repaired by their offsite wheel guy who fixed it, but I do not know if he sealed it. I am down in OC right by Wheel Warehouse in Anaheim, so I am going to bring it there first, but the number for Speedvision would be great, Glendale is not too far to go to get the job done right. Have you had any issues since getting them fixed?
Thanks again!

Speedvision #'s are 818-547-0696 ask for Allen or Hamlet
I live about 3 miles away from wheelswarehouse. I called them before and they do not fix wheels. They will ask you to goto Wheels America, but they do not know any ***** and they will say that they can't fix it. Don't waste time there.. they will also charge you about $125.00.

When you make a call to speedvision, just tell Alen that you were introduced by William (who has fixed same Lowenhart rims twice). They will know me.

It usually take about a week to fix it. They usually send out damaged rims on Thursday and pick them up again on next Thursday. So, try to go there and drop off your rim before then.

Good luck on you.

Thanks for the number - I actually jumped the gun and went over to WheelWarehouse, however...all I needed was a new tire! So hopefully this probelm is solved. I am goingt o keep the speedvision info you gave me b/c I have a feeling that I will need it.
Thanks again,

I posted in the CLK picture thread but didn't get an answer, so I'll ask again in this thread. BlackBaby did you cut your springs? I know if you lower your car at F1 they usually recommend you to cut your springs. I personally like the height cut springs gives. Car looks awesome btw !

oops... i was forgot to answer your question...

No I didn't cut the spring. I don't know why it is that low... maybe a shock problem?? I don't know. It's not rubbing so I really don't care.

I am already bored with these 19" Lowenhart rims. I wanna get 18" rims..... the ride is too stiff and bumpy with 19"...........

Nice to see you again Steve~~!

I have a question for you!!!

Right now, my CD changer is broken. The thing is that my CD changer is BECKER, not by original Mercedes.

Will original MB changer will work on Becker wiring? or DO I have to get Becker CD changer?

By the way, after my c.d. changer got broken, I am using in-dash CD which is on comand that you installed. The problem is that the CD doesn't come out right and I have to force it to pull it out... is there any reason?? The CD just stuck in and barely put the finger inside and pull it out. Any solution to this problem?

Thanks Steve~
