misfire on clk 430
I've recently experienced a misfire on my car, accompanied by severe bogging on acceleration. I have replaced MAF sensor, which has cured the bogging, but the misfire persists. I have changed the plugs and wires on the offending cylinder (the awkward one at the back on the drivers side) and swapped the coil with one from another cylinder with no improvement. The bad cylinder has 170lb compression, and the others are approx. the same. Can anyone help?

Dump the codes.
How's the maintenance? IE, how old are the other plugs, the other wires, and the filters (air and fuel). When does the misfire occur? If it's at cruise or idle, how old are the O2 sensors? If it's under a load, do any of the cats rattle (a sign that one half of the exhaust could be clogged at times).

We live in Spain, and unfortunately the tuning shop situation is non existent, and the local Merc agent is hopeless. I've narrowed the problem down to a non funcioning injector and am investigating further. Thanks for the reply.

Problem solved with new injector. There was a lot of dirt in the fuel rail so that had to be cleaned and blown out with compressed air. Also drained the tank and replaced fuel filter. Will run with some injector cleaner for a while and hope the other injectors are ok.
