Front Camber Bolt mod?
Hey Guys
I have had my car lowered by 30mm on Eibach Pro kit for about 3 years now. The ride is sweet and I have no issues on comfort and looks. My rear tyres wear 100% perfectly even, but my front tyres wear a little on the inside. I have had the alignment checked and it is all fine, but I know because the car has been lowered that the cambre on the front is probably off slightly by a degree or two. So I was thinking about getting these bolts that give a alteration on the cambre by up to 3 degrees, anyone have these or any advice on them? Thanks

Very interesting A1. do you have a link to the manufacturer? ghostrider has been working on the front camber issue for awhile and decided to go to an altered lower control arm instead of the eccentric bolt or bushing mod. seems like what you've found might be rather inexpensive?

Please post a link for a manufacturer that carries these for our application. And while we're on the topic of eccentric camber bolts, how many of these would we need for an entire set-up for the front?
As A1EK said, a review or advice on them would be great for the mildly lowered cars.

If I remember correctly, I had those when I first put on my rims but because my car is so low it couldn't correct the camber as much as I needed. The K-macs gave more adjustment than those bolts but still not 100% so now I'm having my Lower Control Arm Shortened by Gh0$t-Money

I'm going with Vogtland springs that will give a 1.5" drop. How low did you go with your cup kit Jimmy? I'm wondering if these would work with a less aggressive drop? Anybody have the manufacturer info/link?

The guys on Benzworld are talkin the same ***** and there's a MB part/bolt that is made specifically for this camber issue. http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w208...olt-mod-2.html. Now it may not work for Jimmy's app but should work for minor drops.

If your front camber was -2.0 then this bolt would take it to either -1.7 or -2.3.

I just want to get this cleared up...so the only options our application currently has for front camber adjustment is either KMAC or the MB eccentric bolts? Does anyone know hto get more adjustment out of the MB eccentric bolts? I'm at -2.3 on one of my fronts and desperately need to get this to at least -1.5 as my Contis are starting to wear on the insides.
The one A1EK posted is a Febi/Bilstein part (not available for MBZ, apparently). The OEM Lemforder eccentric bolt doesn't have a lobe and instead uses a flat groove on the bolt.
I think since the lobe is so sizable on the Febi part, you can actually eek out 3 degrees of adjustment; using your example that would mean you could go to -5 or +1. Since the Lemforder part doesn't have as large of an adjustable groove, as you said, 0.3 degrees of adjustment is what you get.

My local MB dealership has them for 14.95 part. from the benzworld thread there's a post that shows a graphic with +3mm and -3mm adjustment. which begs the quesiton: how many mm's is a degree of camber?

I may be wrong, so I'd probably call up the service or parts dept at your local dealership to confirm.

I got my bolts from the dealer and they worked fine. By modifying the lower control arm attachment its possible to dial out the negative camber even more.

Yes, that is exactly what I did. Here a picture of what the bolt and washers should look like. When you look it up, you're looking for a front eccentric bolt.

the part number I have and purchased is A 00 330 0018. The washers are thick and not anything like what Mel has pictured. Anybody have a complete part #? I'm not finding anything with just 202 330 0118. All I get when googled is telephone #s. lol.
