Lots of you have this set up out there - how do you like it? I know this has been discussed FOR YEARS, but I haven't been able to get the definitive info I've been looking for here nor on Youtube.

i know the performance gains are minimal. Looking for a sophisticated, sporty sound without spending my kids college fund on an exhaust.

Thanks! Please chime in! - Jones

Also - definitely want to avoid interior resonance and loud, obnoxious kid-tuner car type exhaust sounds that would magically transform my Mercedes into a Honda Accord.

If anyone has sound clips, videos, etc - please share

Yeah, I am sure with the V8 it sounds great! But the V6 is a little different animal. Isn't the Magnaflow exhaust pretty loud without the resonator?

99CLK320,
Williams007 put on a SuperSprint resonator and muffler and said, based on the fact that he didn't want noise, he got a bit of performance improvement and a respectable exhaust note

Cool - so does anyone else have some input?

Specifically someone who is running a Magnaflow muffler with the stock resonator?

Come on - I know some of you guys have this combination!

ML320 Magnaflow 14218 with Resonator deleted

I run a dual tail pipe exit with a magnaflow 14218 muffler and my resonator deleted, sounds deep and sporty, left my primary and secondary cats for back presure.

I initial had the stock resonator with my magnaflow 14218 muffler, but still wanted that deep V8 sound, so I deleted my resonator and the engine roars with a deep tone ...Loving it...cabin drone is not that bad, love the sound of the engine

I would start by just doing the resonator delete. it is the cheepest option and might give you what you want.I have the 430 with the resonator delete and it sound great.
