2 cup holders?
I don't know about anyone else but I find my cupholder a little daunting to use given it gets stuck midway through its cycle and anyone sitting in the back seat has none. I have been contemplating a way to deal with these issues and recently came up with a suitable answer. I bought a $10 aftermarket cupholder by Bell from a local autoparts store and attached it to the back of the armrest. Easy to use from the front seat as well as the back and I don't have to have that skeleton crane cup holder sticking my front passenger in the ribs :p
As you can see from the pic it matches the existing wood decor perfectly. I busted the round disc off the bottom and put a couple of screws about 1" long through the back of it into the back of the armrest. At this length the screws did not protrude into the inside of the storage.
Just a heads up in case anyone is looking for a solution to the same problem in their CLK... GL

There are cup holders in the back seat actually. If you pull down the armrest there is a small plastic stip on the front side. Press it in and the cup holders slide out. GL

Brilliant Silver CLK 320
Well at least now if something spills, you won't have to worry about it getting down in your transmission and ruining the electronics. That's the #1 reason why I won't use mine.

2009 CLK550 Convertible, 2015 Infinite Q70
I have the 2009 clk550 cab and no cup holders in the back seat either.
I am looking for a solution as I have a 10 & 12 year old that want to have water bottles at the very least, but i can't stand the noise when they leave them in the back rolling around. Where did you find the pretty chrome and wood grain cup holders?
I would like to get a couple and mount them in there somehow.

99CLK320,
FWIW: any liguids on or around the console is asking for major trouble if you have a spill. Do a Search and you will find extensive discussion on the problems that result if ANY liquid makes it down to the control unit directly below the shift-gate. The tranny will go into limp mode and you will be screwed. It is a very expensive repair at the dealer unless you are mechanically inclined to follow the steps outlined in the w208 DIY. There may be one for th w209 but I have not read that forum. Good luck.
