Best ride quality on lowered springs/shocks??

Hello,
I think I finally want to take the plunge (no pun intended) and drop my car!! But I do have a few questions....I know I don't want to go as low as the cup kit, and it seems everyone loves H&R/Koni....

1. What combo of springs and shocks will give me the best ride?

2. Will I experience any 'bounce'?

3. Where should I buy from?

4. Any installers in Houston?

5. How much should I expect to spend total?

6. I'm running 19"s, will my tires wear quicker?

Thanks for all your help guys, I'm very apprehensive as I have seen too many botched drop jobs!

sry that i duno much about it either

but I believe Kleemann would be a good choice in ur case

FW :

KLEEMANN Suspension Systems
The KLEEMANN Speed Sensitive Sport Suspension systems utilize CNC precision wound springs that are shot peened, phosphate treated and powder coated. They are true progressive rate springs, providing a comfortable ride while reducing body roll and lowering the vehicles center of gravity.

Giving the car the ultimate in handling are the very innovative Speed Sensitive dampers, providing performance unlike any other damper can offer!

High pressure nitrogen gas charge and Variable Aperture technology allows the KLEEMANN damper to have a variety of compression and rebound rates. The quicker and farther the damper is compressed, the stiffer it becomes.

The end result is a suspension that performs like no other, giving a comfortable ride on the street, while providing unmatched handling dynamics during spirited driving.

I just copied it from http://www.evosport.com/product/susp..._mercedes.html

well , the price of the Kleemann 4 Speed Sensitive Sport Dampners is quite expensive , costs $1,680 from Evosport
however , heard that ppl is very satisfied with it

for me , I would take it if I could afford

hope this help

yes , so sad .....

well , how about koni yellow shocks + H&R sport springs ?
the H&R sport springs lower F 1.4" and R 1.3"

2014 GLK250 BlueTec & 2009 ML320 BlueTec
H&R springs from www.evosport.com $249
Koni adjustable shocks from www.tirerack.com $400
I have the koni's in the softest setting. For the best ride...that depends on your taste, with the koni's you can adjust them to your like.
For installation, any reputable body shop will do the job.
As for you tires, they will last longer with the camber offset.

Koni's on soft aren't harsh, but they are a little bouncy for most people. Camber will be about -2.4 degrees on a CLK430 with H&R springs (slightly less on a 320), which is perfect. Your tires should actually last longer with the negative camber, as CLK's eat the front sidewalls.

Thanks Ben for answering. By the way my car does not bounce a bit with the koni's in the softest setting, and supra the springs affect height not the shocks.

Thanks for all the replies!

Will lowering with H&Rs require me to roll my fenders with 19"s?

Also, can any reputable shop do the alignment and camber adjustment?

TIA - Again!
